Odd that you are having so mu trouble. Mine have been trouble free since I purchased in Feb ‘21.
I did have to get a round of updates at the dealership early one that addressed OTA issues. There was also one update that erased my radio favorites, but I heard that was expected.
Have you done...
I have the 7.2kW Pro Power, so my dash AC plug is the 20A one with the reset breaker instead of the 12VDC power port (AKA cigarette lighter). I would like to add some dash accessories (trailer camera display, GoPro) and provide 12VDC power to them. Does anyone know if my dash wiring harness...
While that is a light trailer for your truck, why wouldn’t you use TOW/HAUL mode? I use it any time a have a trailer, not just for my 30’ travel trailer.
And I use my driving modes whenever the situation presents itself: Slippery if it is raining, Snow/Sand if on the beach, etc. My thought is...
@Ford Motor Company as an RVer who powers his trailer overnight with my Powerboost, I would love it if the double honk was disabled when Generator Mode is ON!
I have a 2021 7.2kW Pro Power Powerboost, so I have the higher wattage 120V plug in the dash with the circuit breaker instead of a power port (AKA cigarette lighter). I want to add a Built Right dash mount system, and would like to directly wire the devices I mount there.
Does anyone know if my...
For me (early ‘21 Platium FX4 Powerboost) I also had a (currently empty) ‘Chimes’ sections show up in Settings: https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/new-chime-control-feature-coming.21813/#post-419449
After my last update, and while wasting time in a line, I started poking around to see if anything new snuck in with the 6.8.0 update. I found something curious: a new section in vehicles settings called “Chimes” with nothing under it.
To those of you who have gotten this working, did you have to do any FORScan stuff to get the truck to see the sensors? Or was it just plug and play?
I am assuming that I can just install the correct harness, plug in the TPMS repeater and the truck should see the sensors.
I have a YAW sensor...
What is the thing that is under the passenger side rear seat?
I have not dug into it, but I do know that leaving the AC off overnight in generator mode causes the cab to get very hot, like in the 80’s when it is 60 outside.
I would recommend leaving the truck climate control on; there is an inverter inside the cab which will generator a good deal of heat when running an RV.
I have a Platinum Powerboost FX4 that is at stock height with stock size Michelin LTX A/T 2 tires. I pull a 7600# travel trailer for about 30% of my total truck miles. Most of our towing miles are on roads, but we do occasionally camp off road down dirt roads and on beaches. I would also like to...
I believe it is tied to the 7.2kW Pro Power configuration only, not all Powerboosts.
If you have the 7.2kW, then you get the 20A front plug. That requires the circuit breaker, which replaces the front 12VDC socket.
