I was thinking it might be time too, but my truck has an H7 battery in it and I read somewhere that a lot of the ‘21 Powerboosts came with an H6 and they switched to the H7 in ’22. So, I’m wondering if it’s already been replaced. I might just get a new one anyway and say the hell with it.
Are people who can’t get the low SOC error to clear replacing the main battery under the hood or the one under the rear seat? Or both? Ive charged both and reset the bms and it still won’t update. I’m going to pull the main battery and run a repair cycle on it using the charger. That will be my...
Thank you. FORSCAN was what I was meaning. I just reset the BMS using it. I don’t know why I couldn’t do it the other way, but I tried it multiple times. I have a feeling this battery is going to be junk. I charged it yesterday and today and it’s still failing. I just tried the update again...
My 21 limited has failed on the 2.7.4 update a few times now. I have it hooked to a 10a charger, I have the parking brake on and lights set to off and it keeps failing. The bms won’t reset using the lights and brake method. I may need to use FDRS to do it. Can someone please look and see what...
Ok, I have a question and I swear I did at least 10 searches and read 40 pages of this thread at a minimum and couldn’t find an answer on my own. So, here it is.
Do you have to have/use a mongoose with FDRS to be able to update all the modules OR can it be done with ONLY an FDRS subscription...
It boosts but not until I try the straight line part near the end. I don’t see boost until prob 3 seconds into accelerating. I’m wondering it that’s my issue. Maybe my BOV is open too long or maybe a turbo isn’t working quite right. I don’t know. I just know it’s supposed to be faster than it is
That was just quick in the parking lot of work which was empty. There was absolutely zero wheel spin with the traction control off and the boost gauge is enabled. I’ll done in sport mode tomorrow but it won’t matter. It’s slow as hell. You’ll see
Just to give you guys an idea of how it runs and how weak it is.
After trying to spin them, I floored it on wet pavement and the tires still didn’t even think about spinning. I’ll do a video of the 0-60 maybe tomorrow.
I 100% agree that according to these numbers, my old 6.2 would never be able to hang with that without a supercharger or something. My current issue is that I don’t see anything close to those numbers in my PB. It’s pulling repeatable 7.3-7.4 sec 0-60’s. It’s all it has. My old 6.2 would smoke that.
Yeah. I try to be fairly realistic and grounded with my assessments. It’s really been pretty unimpressive aside from the 24 Meg’s which is phenomenal. I had a tundra as a rental before I bought this with Toyotas version of this set up and that thing felt like a rocket ship compared to this one...
I don’t know. I mean, maybe, but I did a timed 0-60 and it was like 7.4 in sport mode with traction control off. Mine is seriously not very quick. I’m going to throw it on a dyno. I feel like that’s the only way I’ll know for sure
I mean, I didn’t time it, but the road I pull out onto from the boat ramp is a 50 and I’ve pull out into it probably 40+ times a year, so I haven a pretty good sense distance wise of where I normally hit 60 by and it’s basically the same house I used to hit 60 at in my 2011. I agree with you...
I did have the adaptive learning reset when I had the dealer update the PCM. It shifted like garbage before the update. Bad enough that I wasn’t going to keep the truck. After the update, it’s 100x better now.
I actually did use tow haul for my boat. It’s honestly one of the few times I’ve used to the modes. I noticed a big difference in the engine braking and the way the trans held the gears but it definitely doesn’t feel like 570 lb ft of torque to me. I floored the truck when pulling out into the...
