  1. Potential future EV credit changes [NO POLITICS]

The government should NOT be picking good companies and bad companies. They need to make sure the playing field is level for ALL companies. The individual companies/employees should independently determine if unions are good for them. At the end of the day the rebates should be made available...
  2. Article: Why Ford's Electric 2022 F-150 Lightning is More Important Than You Think

Where do you think the power comes from to charge those batteries???? Only about 20% of our electricity comes from renewable sources. I would gladly go to an EV if the power came from a renewable source and they had a range of ~500 miles towing and there were plenty of refueling stations...
  3. Article: Why Ford's Electric 2022 F-150 Lightning is More Important Than You Think

In the northeast prob much more doable if not towing, to each his own. I certainly don't want to have to stop for 45 mins every 3 hrs. If I just needed a vehicle for commuting around town I would consider on electric vehicle, but the use cases for an EV are still pretty limited and I don't...
  4. Article: Why Ford's Electric 2022 F-150 Lightning is More Important Than You Think

Where do you find charging stations? So basically you are going to spend 45 mins for roughly 200 miles if driving. Personal preference but I don't stop every 200 miles for bathroom breaks much less a 45 min fuel fillup not to mention actually finding a station every 200 miles.
  5. Article: Why Ford's Electric 2022 F-150 Lightning is More Important Than You Think

I am all for innovation and all but I am not sure that electric vehicles are going to be the ultimate answer for a couple of reasons especially in a truck and it is mostly the time cost to charge and the range you can drive one. For going around town running errands and commuting it might make...
  6. Dealers charging over MSRP!

This is a temp situation where they have acres of trucks waiting for chips. Then once they get the chips then they will have a backlog because the freight industry has a severe shortage of drivers. By the time all that gets straightened out they will have a lot of excess inventory of 2021s and...
  7. F-150---- V8 Gas Mileage? What MPG Do You Get??

I get 21-22 around mixed around town and hwy. Towing I get 11 with 9000 lb camper and 12.5 with 6000 lb boat. So far very pleased with mileage and towing performance. I have around 4000k miles and have had to add 2 qts of oil though which I am not happy about.
  8. 2021 F-150 with Tow Mirrors

In my research apparently the 2017+ Superduty mirrors are the same for the F150. The problem is I have the 360 cameras, puddle lights and power retract and have not been able to find anyone that carries those. Any ideas??
  9. Feedback Requested on Limited w/ PB Towing Inbound Jayco Travel Trailer

You are going to be close and will probably have to load all your gear in the truck and over the trailer wheels being careful not to overload them. A WDH should help distribute some of that tongue weight back to the trailer wheels. Having said that at a minimum you are pushing the envelope...
  10. Wireless Android Auto not working after latest Samsung update - Android 11 with One UI 3.0

I just installed Android Auto 6.1 from the above site and it connected right away. I also updated Chrome to version 88.0.4324.52 and the reboot issue is gone as well. Life is good. Everything appears to be working as it should.
  11. Wireless Android Auto not working after latest Samsung update - Android 11 with One UI 3.0

There are two issues with connecting android phones and each has a workaround Endless reboot loop. The root cause of this issue is with the latest chrome update. To get around this you need to disable updates in google play Go into google play and disable auto updates Uninstall updates to...
  12. Ford navigation will be powered by Google Android Auto starting 2023

Hopefully they can get the current compatibility issues with current AA, Android 11 and Sync4 resolved. Not sure why the Sync system is not just a computer that can take multiple OS and therefore upgradeable similar to a PC can run windows or various flavors of linux. Of course that would...

  14. Wireless Charging

I bought this and it does fit lengthwise in the center console and if you remove the factory one no issues. The issue is the 2021 console is about a 1/2" narrower so both will not fit sideways without overlapping. I have them overlapped and the lid does still close.
  15. Wireless Charging iPhone 11 Pro Max

I am wondering if my 2021 Lariat can be upgraded with this?
  16. What are the heavier options to avoid to increase payload?

I have a fairly well optioned 5.0 Lariat with Max tow, FX4, Power tail gate, step, moon roof, power running boards and my payload is 1509.
  17. Du-Ha under seat storage

I have the tuffy and I moved it from my 17 to my new 21 truck. The bolts seem to be in the same spots.
  18. Payload vs Max Tow

I have a 5.0 Lariat with max towing. The limiting factor is the payload. My payload is 1509. I do have the power tailgate, power running boards, moon roof and the Fx4 package. That pretty much maxes me out at ~10,000 with a 1000 lb tongue weight and me and the misses with all luggage and...
  19. Will the 2.7 payload package reduce my towing capacity?

If you are going to tow I would not get the 2.7. Get the 3.5 or 5.0 with max towing and upgraded payload.
