Well I just received this in the mail yesterday…

Got the prototype installed. Time for some road tests. I’ll be doing something different with the bracket, but it positions it where I want it. Plug-N-Play 😉

Prototype complete. Bracket is really the only piece of the puzzle that is not what I would call “production”. We’ll see how the road tests go. However, I’m happy with the plug-n-play installation.

Yup! I bought a set of four of those off Amazon too for like $18. Intended on building a divider to screw into it. Haven’t gotten around to it yet though. Was thinking 2x4 with plywood.

Because the off the shelf solutions didn’t look good, seemed thrown together, and were way over priced for what they were. If I like how things turn out and I’m happy with the performance I’ll likely offer my solution as a kit for members with like a group buy or something.

Started my oil catch can project for the 5L. However, UPS driver is “delayed due to emergency situation or severe weather” with my other parts. Once they arrive I can begin fabbing up the needed brackets.

Could be excess thread locker that hardened. However it almost looks and smells like burnt bearing grease. Judging by what seems to be carbon on the piece… it’s an interesting twist.
