Last night, I was reading a post about fitting taillights from a 24 on a 21-23 (2024 OEM F-150 LED Tail Lights retrofit install on a 21-23), and it got me pondering about F150 generations. Was enough of the truck redesigned to call it gen 15? Seemed awfully quick to be another generation, but...
In reading another thread, I looked up Top Tier gas to learn a little more about it. I then did a search for gas stations and was surprised that it is nowhere near me:
In a 100 mile radius, there is one station an hour away, according stationfinder.toptiergas.com. I was surprised there...
I have a 22 XLT with 302A, Lane Keep Assist, and pro trailer backup assist. While using backup assist today, I wondered about lane centering. I have the front camera for LKA, as well as camera 360. And the steering wheel has the motors for steering (at least when in reverse). What is needed...
I've read a lot about payload, but there's one detail I'm trying to nail down.... what is determined as the starting point before calculating payload? For example, I know the passengers and any cargo in the cab need to be subtracted from the payload, but does that mean seats and console are...
So I have two issues with my truck; and a good chunk of y'all are gonna be like, WTF? But I figure no harm in ranting... one of you might even know a tweak to workaround it!
1. There is only one static graphic for when a door is ajar. Would it have killed Ford to have two little graphics so...
I have encountered something peculiar (and by peculiar, I mean annoying!). Because Sirius is no longer an option, I keep a USB of music plugged in. When it's playing, I can press the Ford Assistant button on the steering wheel and say "Call xxxx on cell" and it will pause the music and switch...
While driving today, I was experimenting with Lane Keep Assist. I noticed that if the road has a slight grade to it, you'll drift towards the line, LKA corrects, and then you drift back. But when it's a very flat road, you end up going like a pinball, from line to line. And that got me...
The 360 camera for standard side mirrors is on the outside of the mirror; the 360 camera for tow mirrors is close to the base. My truck came with standard mirrors and I upgraded to tow mirrors myself. I've noticed a slight transition in the image and I wonder if their isn't a calibration...
First off, this idea was inspired in a previous post that I cannot find to give proper credit. The user found carpeted floor mats and used them to create a flap to cover the underseat storage. I thought it was a brilliant idea but did not have any extra floor mats. So my wife suggested a...
Can scanners pick up a fordpass signal the same way they can capture the signal from the keyfob? I would think its encrypted... but I figured I'd ask those smarter than me! :)
I bought a 2022 XLT with Tow Package and FX4. As many have said, the rake is quite significant, so I'd like to add a lift. I do not want to cause squat when towing, so I am going to measure rear height with a full load and go from there. This leaves me with two questions:
1. What...
I've activated my panic button from inside the house probably a dozen times in the last few weeks. On my hip with a carabiner (sp), in a front pocket, in a jacket pocket..... Clearly it's user error, but has anyone else observed this? If so, what did you do? It seems that button is very...
I changed my oil today @ 1233 miles. Had the truck a month and no serious off road driving. So is it normal for a relatively new oil pan to look like it's a shedding snake? I don't normally do my oil changes so i have no frame of reference. Thanks in advance.
From reading posts, I thought I knew how to interpret the SYNC screen. But I am perplexed. What update am I on? For context, it's a 22 XLT with a build date of 9/22. I purchased it on 12/3/22. Thanks in advance.
I have Lane Assist, and in the settings Alert vibrates the wheel as expected. Aid turns the wheel as expected. But Alert + Aid only turns the wheel. Has anyone else noticed this? It's a 2022 XLT 302a, but it does the same thing on my wife's 21 Bronco Badlands.
I had a 20 XLT with vanilla 4x4. My 22 XLT with FX4 seems higher. I'm going to physically measure this weekend but in the meantime, I'll ask: What does FX4 do to the tail of the truck, such as bumper height, shock travel, etc? Only been a truck owner for a few years and only now getting into...
I want to cover the center console, but I cannot find one that is compatible with the interior work surface. Has anyone seen one? I asked American Trucks and they didn't have one; was going to check in with Real Trucks and other websites but decided I should ask here. =) Thanks in advance.
