I drive long distances like that too and to keep awake I keep a small cooler on the passenger seat with ice and a wet wash cloth inside a zip lock baggie. When I start feeling tired I was my face and around my neck with that cold wash cloth and that brings me back to 100 percent concentration

I know there is a recall on the Explorers for this same problem with the back up camera

I used to leave my fob in the truck all the time until I realized it drains the fob battery.

Got to be careful in Florida as people will smash your windshield to protect your dogs even with the engine running.

Can't understand why the ground in the electrical panel can't be disconnected instead of removing the ground from the male end of the cord. Any thoughts?

So you disconnected the ground on the plug that plugs into the truck?

I have the x-plan pricing but was able to get a better price without it. May want to shop around.
