the driver seat has power and will work, the passenger seat will need power run to it to work. If you want memory, heat, cool, etc. It's a lot more work but can be done.

BAP grille for reference has the notch when used on a "normal" F150 hood.

That makes sense, the 8" apim doesn't output power over that cable while the 12" apim does add power there.

did you need two power sources b/c you used the 8" apim? or would the 12" apim need two as well?

If you are crimping your own pins i'll echo that they are super sensitive to any misshaped parts. They won't seat all the way if not a very good crimp. If you are buying leads with the pins already attached you should be good to go. They are more expensive but much easier to install.

Yes, leave the front harness alone. Run the four wires from the IPMA under the dash on the drivers side directly to the Cruise Control Module in the bumper. Even if you use the "new" front bumper harness you bought it won't work. You would have to run wires from under the passenger side...
