  1. Memory seat change while driving

Just a note that the memory seat button also controls the steering wheel and adjustable pedal positions (for vehicles equipped). So not only does it change your body position, it changes your connection to the main ways you control the car. I don’t believe the seat programming is setup to...
  2. Weird fuel / gas tank issue with check engine light?

Most likely this. The PB fuel system is pressurized, which why it takes a moment from hitting the button to the door opening. If the vent valve didn’t open, the tank was still pressurized and very little fuel was going to get into the tank. This has been reported by some when using the manual...
  3. Catch can compatible on PowerBoost?

J&L Oil lists different part numbers for the Powerboost and ecoboost F150. Not sure of the difference in the kits though. J&L Powerboost
  4. cargo bed lights on while driving?

As you indicated, some manufacturers have included the ability to use the cargo lights while driving. However, that doesn't mean it is legal. Per the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS), the high mounted brake light maybe combined with cargo lights (S5.4a), but the operation of which...
  5. Slowing down going down a mountain

Although not an engineer (so feel free to correct me if wrong), I do still remember a little bit of my college physics classes, so just did a little napkin math (with some assumptions - no engine power (neutral), 70 mph, 4600 lb truck, Cd of 0.49, published dimensions + 6 inch). It is possible...
  6. Driving mode question

Genuinely curious here…How is this accomplished on those F150s that don’t have the vacuum integrated wheel ends (IWE)?
  7. Driving mode question

Apologies for not being clear. In 4A, you absolutely CAN get regenerative braking. However, the strategy the truck uses to get there is different than in 2H. In 4A, the conventional brakes engage first. If conditions are met, then it will switch to regenerative braking. You can see this on the...
  8. Driving mode question

I used to use 2H most of the time in Houston, but now I am moving more and more to 4A. If your 2023 is like my 2022 Powerboost, then then you don’t have front IWE and your front wheels are essentially locked to the transfer case all the time regardless of the 2H or 4a mode. So there is little...
  9. Mileage drop after software update

Mine will only count downwards from 999.9 if I start the trip on electric only. And that only happens for me when the truck has been warmed up from a previous trip, like if I stopped and filled up with gas, and then drove away. Otherwise, it counts up because the ICE kicks on until it is warmed up.
  10. Anyone planning on adding a Catch Can on their Ecoboost or Powerboost engine?

I have an oil catch can on my Christmas list for my ‘22 Lariat PB. I am not concerned about dirty valves or injectors because I trust top tier gasoline, specifically Shell V-Power Nitro+, to do its job. However, I am concerned with excess oil burning from an emissions/environmental...
