Interesting. I finally put some miles on my truck last weekend going down to Laredo to hunt and twice the windshield wipers wouldnt work. Had to stop on the side of the road and cycle power. All of the problems within 1k miles is worrying me.
It looks good though
Well. Found what my rattle is...exhaust is bent so one hanger is hitting a crossmember and that is also causing an exhaust leak because of the misalignment. Also, the sunshade for the moon roof is binding as it closes and popping/screeching etc. One door alignment is so bad that it looks open...
The BAP is such a great option for most colors. It legitimately looks like you paid thousands to customize your truck.
I guess that's one of the things I always liked about Raptors, and the BAP brings the color scheme to any truck.
Mine moved quite a few times and it arrived after the last date. I've seen them arrive early too.
Essentially, the accuracy is worse than a Hi-point that was left in the ocean for a year.
Mine was deactivated when it went into "shipping mode" and wasn't reactivated until I did it at the dealership.
It's BS for a truck to sit in a railyard for a month. It's bad for the paint to be there, it's bad for the customer to be waiting, and it's bad for dealerships waiting on inventory...
I still haven't washed my truck since I picked it up. I'm usually pretty good about keeping a vehicle clean but between the bi-daily rains and holidays, the thing is almost dripping road slime.
Ford HAS to figure out a better final shipping method. At some point, they are going to have to look into smaller hotshot type drivers or even getting workers to ferry the trucks from railyard to dealership if it's fairly close.
"ceramic" is a new buzzword and it's not an end-all-be-all for paint. That said, it is a great long lasting alternative to wax. It will help keep the elements from massacring your paint (but isn't 100% protection). I wouldn't try it yourself, as it requires quite a bit of prep work and then...
I wouldn't think it's safety recalls, just QC fails worst case.
It's an assembly line, not brain surgery. It's designed to give the worker the highest amount of assistance and limit the skill needed to complete a task. Have you watched videos of the installs? It's pretty...
One of the plant workers on a Raptor group I'm part of claimed that they are working around the clock at full blast to get these out. He worked this weekend at TRIPLE time pay and they are not slowing at all.
This reminds me. So I ordered the Husky mud flaps, rear well liners, and full interior mats. They sent everything correct besides two driver's side masks rather than both sides. They wanted everything sent back and then would send me the correct ones rather than me just send the wrong mat...
I had a 2018 Raptor. Ordered the Lightning during the reveal. It came in July. Wasn't sure about the Lighting coming in, driveability of it, etc so ordered the 2023 Raptor in March. I knew that I couldn't lose money on either truck.
Ended up getting the Lightning in and driving it some, but...
You can if it's under United Road using your VIN, but I'm not sure if it's not them.
That said, once the railcar is unloaded and it's put on a truck for convoy, it should take two days or less. Mine sat for 21 days at the railyard though.
Hmm is the retrofit going to be just plug and play?
I was at the same point. I had wheels, front and rear springs, Baja Design lights with new harnesses and mounts, tuner, bed cover, and the little stuff like screen covers, lug nuts, and shorty antenna sitting around waiting for the truck to...
