99% chance you have a bad trailer brake module. See my thread here https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/full-truck-reboot-while-driving.14378/post-392312
First unplug the trailer brake module and see if the DTCs stop showing up. You'll get a trailer brake module on start up, but after that...
Whenever I see Trailer Brake Module I always go back to my issue. See here for more: https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/full-truck-reboot-while-driving.14378/post-392312
in your case wonder if another module is spamming, or if it's the trailer brake module. I would start by just...
This. I really haven't seen any substantive changes from any OTA update. But... I still like to stay up to date.
Perhaps, if I squint just right, things have gotten a bit more stable with the updates.
Howdy,
Curious if anyone knows if I can use forscan ( or FDRS for that matter) to re-map the telephone button on steering wheel to turn traction control on/off? I'd like better access to trac on/off than reaching all the way to the right top side of the center console.
Should have been warranty issue for me to. I had same issue with Ford dealership. Part was backordered. I went online, got it in less than a week.
For $250, after a year of farting around with ford, to get it shipped and fixed, wasn't worth the brain damage to me.

it comes with the dash buttons too, but I didn't use those. I just replaced the module under the dash above the dead pedal area.
I’d bet money you have a bad trailer brake module or another module is spewing noise into CAN bus.
I had a bad trailer brake module that would produce phantom alerts as you call them and sometime would produce a cascade of alerts one after another, but for me it always started with trailer...
Also worth noting I took mine to 2 dealers and they had it for weeks each and could not figure it out. In the end I bought the part new online and did the replacement myself, 2 plugs, 2 bolts, done.
Gents I had this same issue for over a year. Finally figured out my trailer brake module was defective and temperature sensitive, would get more alerts when really hot or cold. The module is like $120 and super easy to replace. Suggest unplugging it first for a while and see if the alerts go...
Fully support this. I started by just unplugging the 2 plugs in brake controller and saw the issue go away right away.
FYI only side effect of unplugging is every time you start the truck it will throw trailer brake fault right away. you can clear it and it won't come up again until you turn...
I had potentially similar issue. I have a post in this forum about it. Ford was unhelpful in resolving my issue.
But, the upshot of the issue, my trailer brake module was spewing noise into the CAN bus causing all kinds of issues, including trailer brake fault alerts all the time and other...
Posting resolution for anyone who has this or similar issue:
Turns out my Trailer Brake Module (under dashboard above dead pedal area) was bad. It was bad in such a way that when temperature changed quickly, or when temp was really hot, it would spew noise into the CAN bus and cause ALL modules...
