While I don’t have the contact info I had the same thing happen this morning. I received an email that said the following:
As you requested, your vehicle has been removed from your FordPass™ App and Ford Owner account.
Of course I did no such thing. I also couldn’t log in and it didn’t...
Thank you! I was certainly thinking about jumping ship. I’ve owned Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins for the past 19 years. This is my first Ford light duty truck since the 90’s. I really like this truck and just wanted it to work like it should. If I started with a better dealer I probably would have had...
That’s some B.S. right there. My second dealer said that once they confirmed the vibration issue even after balancing the tires they contacted the Tech hotline and get instructions on what to check next. If you contact Ford and escalate your case the dealer supposedly gets access to a Ford...
Today I received a call from my New a dealer. They said the Ford field Service tech determined it was the Front driveshaft. So I figured they were going to order it. But I was surprised when he said it was ready to be picked up. They sent someone to go pick one up. On the way home I was able to...
I’m sad to say I didn’t fix the vibration. Once I felt the vibration again I decided to take out the shims put all new unbolts and nuts (oem) and let Ford figure this out. My old dealer wouldn’t even let me make an appointment. They told me they were booked and said they’ll call me. So I bought...
Before you shim there is two things you can try first. The first is load up the back of your bed with a bunch of stuff to lower the suspension. Then take a ride to see if that helps. If it does then it’s a clue for the dealer. The next would to buy a cheap digital angle finder and take some...
To try to get rid of my vibration I shimmed my rear differential about a degree. It made a world of difference.it was about 90% better but still felt a slight rumble and vibration in the gas pedal. This past weekend I took a 600 mile round trip. The truck bed had every square inch filled and two...
Wow! This was the first time I’ve heard of this. Years ago my neighbor’s cat got his leg caught in my fathers car fan belt. We had no idea it was sleeping on the warm engine.
My buddy just picked up his 23 F150. About a week later the truck started running like crap. Misfiring and shaking badly. I followed him to the dealer who pulled some codes. What they found was a squirrel was chewing on his wire harness that’s coated in some sort of soy bean oil. Not one hundred...
This is my friends 2022 F150 lariat with the 5.5 bed and single piece driveshaft. I just noticed that his axle was shimmed by Ford. His truck was delivered and picked up and has never been back to the dealer. I measured my drive line angles and shimmed just about the same thickness shim to...
My issues were concentrated on the gas pedal and the arm rest. I think my whole problem is pinion related because this driveshaft tested good last week. I still have the same vibration though not as strong. I played around after watching a bunch of videos and took measurements and shimmed the...
I was looking for some sort of specialist in drive trains, like an engineer. This way the problem could be diagnosed and then disputed with ford. I’ll probably bring my truck back to the shop to have the fine tune the pinion Angle, We got it close.
From all the research found on this subject there seems to be the three causes unbalanced driveshaft, pinion angle and the rear differential. Mine was probably always the pinion angle. The first driveshaft was probably good, the second driveshaft got lost for a month and probably got banged up...
What I’ve learned so far is there is a reason why the pedal is pulsating. We shimmed my rear axle last night got the drive line pretty darn close. As a result the pedal vibration and driveline vibration is 98% gone. Still feel a slight buzzing almost like knobby tires.
