I would think one of the reasons for the Powerboost would be reduced engine noise. To pipe in exhaust notes would be counter productive. I'd really like to know if this is the case.

Does anyone know the projected lifespan of the lithium battery? I can't seem to find it or its replacement cost anywhere. I know Ford is warranting the battery for 8 years or 100K.
