I'm not sure if you're talking about me comparing my mpg trip to trip or someone else as I'm not that smart...
-Trailer weight did not vary more than 20lbs as the only variable was food that was constantly being consumed by a VORACIOUS 2yo.
-Trailer frontal area is the same as its the same...
I tow a 6800lb (dry) TT with my XLT 302a Powerboost and have no complaints. My max payload is about 1900lbs and I like to leave a 10% margin for error when loading up everything. The PB is a beast of truck and I'd put it up against any engine/trim fir towing...just my opinion. For your purposes...
Selling a slightly used BlueOx Track pro, used it 3 times longest trip was 70 miles one way. Took the RV to the shop for some pm and they discovered I had the wrong hitch for my truck/RV combo so now I have a bonus WDH. Asking $300, retails for $600 new. Can't ship unless you pay bc it weighs...
Ok the fam and I just got back from a 9 day, 630ish mile, 3 state tour with the RV. I recorded the miles, MPG, fuel type, drive mode type and elevation of each leg. so here goes:
Leg 1 - 198 miles from Denton, TX (elev 574ft) to Broken Bow State Park (elev 690ft) - 7.9 MPG using no tow/haul...
@Josh35 I had the same issue with my 21 PB...my wife was taking the kiddo to school and had barely made it out of the driveway and POOF...whole thing was dead. In the middle of a (busy-ish) residential street...no windows, mirrors, radio, anything electric besides the hazards...we were 2 minutes...
Yeah we're driving about 3 hours for each leg of the trip with a good mix of highway/non so I'm hoping for a good overall feel for everything when I'm done. The rolling hills part from SE OK to Hot Springs area really excites me as far a "fun" driving. I will definitely report back on both MPG...
Yeah I think I'm going to try and be a little less anal about adding weight front vs back and try to ensure I have more weight in the front. My TT has the kitchen mounted almost directly above the axles and the outdoor kitchen, bathroom and bunk room are towards the back, so I strongly believe...
Thanks! Yeah I have T (speed) rated tires and OEM shocks...hoping the SwayPRO helps, if not then I'll try the shocks first and then keep adding till I feel better...I reached out to my RV service shop to see if they have a tongue weight scale I can borrow...
I had over $30k worth of damage to my XLT PB 2wd and they still didnt total it...all cosmetic (got swiped by a semi and hit from behind by a subaru) but the curtain airbags did deploy so that was most of the $$$. Brand new (Nov '21 with 5500 miles) and had to give it up for 10 weeks while we...
Towed a 6700# (dry) TT a weeks ago from NTX to Southern OK and averaged 8.5mpg...but I was also fighting wind and semi's and my own white knuckles from the sway and had to keep it under 60 to feel in control. Never thought about shifting myself or NOT using tow/haul mode but I may try it on our...
