  1. Power-Up 6.5.0 Installed

Mine updated yesterday without issues. 1 month after my 1 year anniversary with the truck. I take the truck to work 3 days a week, typically 30 mins each way (I drive the wife's car the other 2)
  2. Any good experiences from PowerBoost owners

I just reached 1 year of ownership with my 22 PB at 11.5k mileage. I am getting 3 mpg better than my 2017 ecoboost on the same daily drive. No issues with any of the hybrid systems. It is a hybrid and does have some quirks, but no issues there. The few issues that I do/did have could happen with...
  3. DRIVER DOOR SOUNDS LOOSE

My back door had an odd metallic sound when closing. The door striker was not adjusted correctly. The dealer found and fixed it. Maybe something to look at.
  4. How's your F-150 holding up in the cold weather?

It saddens me to see those trucks damaged during these types of events. The two things I have noticed are a decrease in fuel economy and a rattling pano when temps drop below freezing. I have seen a 1 mpg change between summer and winter with previous F-150s, but with my PB I am seeing closer...
  5. Power-Up 6.5.0 Installed

I am still at 6.1.0. A rain sensing fix would be a great thing. I get an auto swipe most mornings (when in the garage) and it is hit or miss while raining.
  6. Pup and the "new" truck...

I have the knines front seat cover on the back jump seat. It is a little big, but I have it cinched down well enough. (I keep the larger part folded up) I bought a Dogual net for between the seats. With a little bit of training, it keeps my 80 lb lab in the back seat. Of course, if she really...
  7. anyone regretting getting the powerboost?

Getting back to the original question, I am really enjoying my PB. I have only used the generator one time, more as a test to figure out how. On my day to day drives, I am averaging 4 mpg better than my 2017 ecoboost. When in town, it is great to sit in traffic with the cold air blowing away. I...
  8. Power running boards not retracting

When I close the door or use the foot button, the board goes to the fully retracted position but then reverses. When I drive off, the board retracts and stays. It is intermittent and will resolve itself as quickly as it started. It is always the driver's side. Never the passenger. While...
  9. I miss Blackout150

I do not know about you all, but I have some electrical gremlins. Speakers, bluetooth, running boards, etc. I hit a bump while driving today and there was a change in music volume. When I got home, I checked the fuse boxes. The fuses in the one under the hood were all loose. I did not find any...
  10. Getting new Transmission at 19k miles

My wife's 2020 explorer st required a transmission replacement at 23k. It took about 3 weeks for the parts to come in. The dealer actually had the transmission before some of the other items they needed. We did not get a loaner, so it is not uncommon. Dealership to dealership I guess. (She did...
  11. Well I was hoping it wasn’t going to be me

Any update on the whine? Was it the brakes or something else?
  12. I miss Blackout150

What is the nickel trick? I have not heard of that one. Where did you get the metal pin from? I saw it advertised at some point and have not decided whether I will change it or not. We will need a pic once the mods are complete. BTW, you need to drive that truck more. They are so much fun!
  13. F150 Stranger Things

The wipers swipe once at start up when they are turned to auto. Truck is garage kept. Dealer says that the sensor is detecting moisture. I had a couple of rain drops hit the windshield and they did not turn on. I have them turned off now. The front speakers pop when I end a hands-free call...
  14. I miss Blackout150

I wonder why on some and not on others. Ours are comparable, mechanically, and a week apart on blend date. I just got back from having mine serviced and nothing was found (5300 miles) I have not towed anything with mine or loaded it down yet. On a lighter note, the door striker needed...
  15. I miss Blackout150

I do not know if you ever get used to it, but you do become tolerant of the weather. I have lived in the south my entire life, so it is just another day. Those days of waiting on a VIN and then watching build weeks slip and then finally having a truck "built" but would not ship seem like soooo...
  16. I hate to be the chome-dress-up-guy but this looks great

While the black packages have grown on me, I just cannot get away from chrome. Even the polished look of the Platinums and Limiteds do not do it for me. Lariat with chrome package has been my staple over the last three trucks. I agree with Ranger. Black chrome would be awesome.
  17. I miss Blackout150

I have made two trips to Houston recently. I was able to average 23 mpg. After first trip: After filling up after second trip (before reset): In the city, during rush "hour" traffic, the hybrid system really shines. Coasting along or sitting in traffic while on battery power is really cool...
  18. I miss Blackout150

Only 3711 miles as I split my miles between mine and the wife's since she works from home full-time. A little over 200 all electric, 20.2 mpg overall (trip computer)
  19. I miss Blackout150

I have installed the stone grey f150 letters on the tailgate and changed the license plate lights to LEDs. The letters look black from most angles, but there are some that show the color. What a difference in light color between the stocks and LEDs though. They now are very close to the light...
  20. I miss Blackout150

Good thing you have the PB. Non PBs can get the 36 gal tank!.
