Anybody know how to access service records and make new ones on the new app? I can't find it. Why don't they just have all the information like oil life tire pressure all that just on the front page. I don't understand.
Thanks for the reply. Ok ya that sounds acceptable to me. I just didn't want to lose all the discounts I would not be a happy camper. I'm guessing our new explorer will have a higher MSRP. Did they pay the sales tax and fees on the 2nd vehicle then? What about destination fee? Maybe I'm getting...
Yep that sounds really good! I'm from Iowa only about 30 minutes from MN! Hopefully our laws are similar. I have read about the lemon law in Iowa but I guess I just still don't know what to expect exactly. Hopefully I get MSRP and taxes and fees towards a different vehicle and I'll be happy!
Thank you for the info! That is what we want to have happen to us in just order a vehicle and exchange when it comes in! Dealer right now has 0 new explorers and we did custom order the one we have now.
I agree! When it's happens it's literally every fault there is I'm pretty sure. And no dash and no screen locks. Gauges. Nothing works. But really when the vehicle shuts off while going down the road that's when it becomes totally unacceptable. I can get in my 1994 f150 and turn the key and it's...
Thank you. I actually wish it was happening to my truck instead of my wife's vehicle but that's how it goes I guess. When I find out new info about the explorer I will post. Thanks again.
Mine is a xlt and doesn't have a 360 camera. But yes they are definetly throwing parts at it. I told them to press it into a small cube and order me another one joking of course but we got a good laugh. But I was wondering why they have 2 explorers that look new that are parked back in the...
The dealer told me that they repair the vehicle again and it goes to a vehicle auction and gets sold. And no its a different dealer. The 1st dealer wouldn't take the vehicle back again after the 1st time it was there for 32 days and they told me they didn't know how to fix it. They told me I...
I have a 2022 f150 that has been great but I also have a 2022 ford explorer that is a train wreck. Looking for advice this is the 1st time I have been involved in a buy back. Vehicle is 1 year old almost exactly been towed to dealership 5 times total of over 80 days in the shop (and counting)...
I use tow/haul when I'm hauling skid steer 10k+ but with boat 3-4k I lock out 9th and 10th gears when I'm going 60mph and open them back up in the 80mph. Really the only reason I don't use tow/haul is the EXCESSIVE engine braking when coming to a stop sign. It's ridiculous.
My process for changing oil is..
1. Warm engine.
2. Pull drain plug.
3. While oil is draining from plug loosen oil filter.
4. Reinstall drain plug.
5. Remove oil filter and install new oil filter.
6. Fill till oil is towards top of hash marks on dipstick.
7. Run pickup for a minute or so...
In my opinion these sites suck! I got offered 35k for a vehicle and I traded it in to the dealer when I bought my new truck. for 57k! That's quite a difference.
It definitely gets warm then cools off in my opinion. Would shutting it off and turning it back on make it get warmer again? I have a 22 explorer and that heated steering wheel gets warmer and stays warmer than the f150.
Highway 55-65mph 19ft lund tyee = 12.5mpg
Highway 55mph 22ft aluminum enclosed trailer half loaded =11.8mpg
No trailer highway driving 60mph = 18-20mpg+ can baby it and get 23-25.
I had a 2020 GMC 6.2 and 3.5 ecoboost has been about 1-1.5mpg better while towing. And about 3mpg better with no...
