Left MD this morning at 2:30 and by 12:30 pulled up to my brothers house. Towed in normal 95% of the way and all my temps stayed below 220°. Estimate the weight at 3100lbs. No issues were had, and now cant wait to get out on the lakes.
I have a 22 powerboost with 13k on it. Took it in for a recall and mentioned it kept going into deep sleep mode when it shouldnt due to how much its driven. They tested my battery and it failed, replaced with no hassle or questions.
Just got back from a camping trip with my boys. Had a wonderful time camping in WV at a place with no water or electric. We tent camp but having the powerboost is really making me want a small teardrop or small camper.
I brought all the usual stuff except an induction burner to do most of the...
Just got back from a camp trip from WV. Going i forgot to take a picture but think it was 19.7mpg then coming back today I remembered pictures.
First is coming out of the campground up and down gravel roads obviously going slow
Then some pics on the road
Final tally. I love this truck...
I just had my truck in the shop for a recall regarding the park lamp flickering and had mentioned to them that this last week I had gotten several deep sleep notifications. Had them check the battery and sure enough the main battery failed and they replaced it.
Took a drive the other day. Was a mix backroads and highway, top speed 65 but a fair amount in the 40-55mph range. Looked down and was shocked at the mpg I got. No real gear loaded and just me and two kids in the truck. Stock everything. If i remember correctly weather was in the upper 60's.
Get yourself a small 2lb velcro weight, strap it to the wheel and just sit and monitor it and never touch the wheel. Did this on my recent 1300 mile trip and would go hours without touching the wheel.
Well i just hit 10k and its bone stock other then a bed liner and cover. I dont drive 70mph often, and I dont mash the gas. Its a 4x4 157" lariat. Currently im at 19mpg but i did just tow my boat 700 miles and got 13.4mpg doing it. So i expect to build it back up to 21 or so where I was at...
I love the seats other then one gripe. I have a 22 PB lariat and just did a 17 hour day of driving last week. No back pain or leg pain what so ever. Only issue is the headrest not being a 4 way adjustable headrest.
I am in the process of fixing that.
Bingo. I get 21.8mpg around my area. Obviously I didnt just get the powerboost for just the fuel economy though. The 7.2kw is the big selling point on it and all the power is nice as well.
Went on a road trip this weekend to the eastern shore of Maryland and beaches of Delaware. Holy crap that changed everything with my MPG.
I am coming from southern MD so by no means a super hilly or mountainous region. But around there I generally get 21-22 mpg.
Loaded my kids and a little...
Added the first generation backup alarm delete device on. Swapped put my BAK bakflip x4 and think this one is worse then the first. That line in the top drives me crazy...
