I did a little research on differences between model years. This looks like a ‘48 or ‘49. Apparently in 1950 they smoothed the bedside so it no longer has the visible support beam. The mods on this one make it hard for me to differentiate from there.
This is still within the realm of possibility! (though doubtful). Mine was built in KC, listed as built and shipped on the same day, a Friday. It was at the dealer by Tuesday morning the following week. I really have no insight on the delays, but I lucked out on this. I'll keep my fingers...
I hope so. What say you @GrangerChip ? For my part, I will be traveling for a funeral around the time it is ready. Then I may be out of country for a few weeks of work travel. How flexible are you with pickup time frames?
Adding to the heap here. I got an email that my truck had a VIN and was scheduled to be built week of 7/18, it was in production on 7/21, built on 7/22, and expected to arrive at Granger between 7/26 and 8/1 (my truck was built in KC). I checked status yesterday on 7/26 and it was at Granger and...
I was scheduled for “week of 7/18” originally. Ford chat eventually told me that build date is 7/21 (hooray!!) and my window sticker became available late on 7/14. So it appears to show up one week before or so.
Just tried to see if my window sticker was available, but the ford tracking site was not loading anything at all! Used Ford's chat help and the rep told me I was still on track and scheduled to be build 7/21. No sticker available at this time. The rep also shared that it was expected to be at...
It's official. I have a build scheduled! Week of 7/18 atm. For reference I ordered an XLT 301A, Race Red, SCrew, 3.5L EB, 6.5' bed, HDPP, Max Tow. Let's see if it sticks!
Update! Got my VIN assigned and am scheduled to have it built the week of July 18th. Wasn't expecting this so quickly. I ordered from @Granger Ford , who told me it would likely be between 6 and 9 months for delivery. I'll go ahead and assume this order gets pushed back (as so many do get...
You are absolutely right about folks having different tolerance! I've seen a lot of people just load up and send it and others who are painstaking about calculating every last pound and giving themselves a lot of weight buffer.
For us, we are comfortable hitting the high end of payload...
Love your Bronco there! We camp a lot! We've been tent camping for years and switched to a small travel trailer a couple years ago. We miss getting into smaller campsites and back roads, so we are looking for something compact to strap down and go. We like the idea of the 1251 because it will...
Yeah, the FWC times are nuts. The dealer in Bozeman, MT has allocations about 9 months out. He is a one-man operation, but he orders a bunch each month and sells those allocations. our goal was to order with him, but we are realizing we can get more features for less $$ if we look at other...
Overloaded is overloaded. Your tires, axles, frame, and other components can only take so much. There are lots of ways people work to make their rides safer or more capable. For my part, I ordered the HDPP for my truck. It has a beefier frame, different axles, an additional leaf in the springs...
The 825 is heavier than I’m comfortable with! We are looking at pop-up campers. Currently thinking either the Northstar 850 SC, the Palomino backpack ss1251, a FWC Hawk or similar. The truck won’t be here until late in the year according to our dealer, so we are playing the waiting game on the...
That makes sense! We optioned ours to get a slide in camper as well, but weren’t necessarily interested in a lot of options. This worked for us. We also got a stellar price through Granger Ford. Keep us updated on what you decide!
I’m curious. You ordered the HDPP with your F-150.Do you need the additional payload? If so, the Ram and GMC aren’t going to come close unless you’re ordering a 2500 HD truck.
