From the initial video I saw, I was under the impression that he was using crappy off brand soft shackles ($30 for 2 on amazon) and the soft shackle failed.
Bummer, mine's the tremor and has the specific half shafts. I'm surprised more Tremors don't have the issue, but ti does seem like it's becoming slightly more frequent.
Yeah when its slick I usually put it in slippery mode.
I agree, I'd rather just not have the problem at all. I was hoping once it warmed up it would stop to buy a few months to come up with a solution, but based on today I'm thinking that isn't going to happen.
I'd love to just disable it...
Mine is intermittent in 2wd, but I've never noticed it in 4a. Mine also only happenes when slowing down to a stop, maybe once or twice I've noticed it going 15 turning to the right slightly.
I'm also beginning to worry about the long term effects of keeping it in 4a all the time. I don't worry about it in the snow, but I get conflicting info as to whether being in 4a on dry roads is completely fine, or will do serious damage (seems odd that sport mode would auto select 4a if the...
At least on mine, I'm convinced it has nothing to do with temp. It was below 30 this morning in my way to work, 2wd, no hum. Just got back from lunch, almost 60 degrees, hum. Getting really frustrating.
I hate to keep checking, but it has now been over a year since my last OTA. On top of that, I've had several occasions this winter where my truck has gone into battery saving mode (to be fair it's always cold when it does it).

Thanks!
Not sure if its the same, but if its intermittent, and feels like its coming from the front it could be this.

Well known issue. Sounds like it's the IWE, sounds like Ford is aware of it, no fix at this time.
Good to know at least it's on Ford's radar. I can't reliably replicate it so I've taken to keeping it in 4A any time it's remotely cold. I will continue to do so until either Ford figures their sh!t out, or (more likely) it warms up.
I don't have any issues with mine, but I don't have the work surface. As a result I have have lowered it and raised it maybe 3 times. Once just to see it, once to show a buddy, and once accidentally (cleaning up something I spilled after I got to work) If I had to use it frequently I'd be a...
-14 below all weekend (-40 with wind chill) in SE Wyoming. Parkes outside Friday night through this morning. I did plug in my block heater for first time this morning, fired up no issues. Gotta love the heated seats and steering wheel.
