The 75D is old technology by now. My 2019 Model S LR gets 258 Wh/mile and my Wife’s Model X gets ~280 Wh/mile. The newer refreshed models are more efficient than mine.
I don’t think that the Lightning will be as efficient as the Model X due to it’s weight and aerodynamics, but it’s not out of...
I’m not sure which version of the software you are on, but preconditioning is now based of scheduled departure time and you can turn it off in the car or app. I’ve never had it turn on on it’s own, but I’ve only had mine for 3 years.
Vampire drain for me has been about 1.5-2 Kwh per day...
This. I have 27 solar panels on my roof that work out to be 7.2 KW of peak power. I get on an average sunny day 30-40 KWh of energy production. It would take me 3 peak days of production to charge the Lightning from 15-80%.
I typically drive less than 30-40 miles most days and that works out to...

EaglesPDX is correct, my Model S uses about a mile per hour give or take on sentry mode. For M3 or MY, I expect it to be higher since they have a lower wh/mile calculation. I have to turn it off if I’m going to leave it in long term parking at the airport for a few days.
The factory tonneau covers are a restricted commodity that would delay delivery. I believe there was a comment from Ford about it at some point. I’m not sure why the bed liner is available and not the tonneau covers, but maybe it’s not as restricted.
Yup, we only do 1-2 long road trips per year. Usually, one 500 mile trip each way from Mayland to Maine and one year we went to the Outer Banks which is about 350 miles. We have to stop to take a break anyway, so charging isn't an issue.
The trip to Maine we do over 2 days and stay at a hotel...
I usually only need about 10% of my battery for daily driving. I plug it in every night and keep it around 60% SOC daily. I've charged to 100%, drained it down to almost 0%, used DCFC and in 3 years/20k miles, I've experienced pretty much no range reduction.
Winter driving is also not that...
Completely agree. I choose Granger because I'd been communicating with them for a while as I decided on which vehicle was right for my needs. With their involvement in the forums they have build a reputation as an honest dealer who looks out for their customers. Considering the ridiculously low...
Edited just to say, you probably weren't talking about me and that I'm by no means anti-ford as some are and I'm also not anti-tesla. I've owned 3 fords over the last 25 years and I loved them all (83 Bronco, 2000 Explorer and 2013 f-150).
You are right, this thread isn't really an "I'm out"...
I prefer one petal driving where the break petal is only the friction breaks. I modulate the accelerator to minimize the power to the motors while maintaining speed, effectively coasting at times and using regen breaking when I need to slow down. It takes a little getting used to, but feels...
My Tesla gives me a full 360 degree visualization of traffic around the car, which for me is better than whatever GM has. There is both an visual and audible alert if I try to change lanes and there is a car in my blind spot. However, because I can see the car on my driver display, I’m not going...
Tesla’s Autopilot is nearly perfect on the Highway, so can’t imagine GM’s product really being better.
However, Tesla is at least 5 years ahead with FSB Beta. I’ve been using it for months and it literally drives itself 90% of the time. There are still bugs so I’m always ready to take control...
I agree with you on the MX, my wife’s has had several issues over the last 2 years. However, Tesla service has been good and everything has been covered under warranty. My MS on the other hand hasn’t had any issues in 2.5 years.
Yes, they are mostly sequential.
The timestamp is going to be very precise, down to milliseconds at least. However, a few seconds won’t make much of a difference in when you will get your truck because other variables, such as commodities, dealer allocation and regional scheduling will play a...
Reservation numbers are not strictly sequential. The backend servers were issuing them in blocks so your number could be lower or higher depending on which one you hit. I made 2 reservations and the second one I made a few minutes after the first has a lower number.
It’s the same system they...
