The manual warns against using lane centering while towing (see Towing chapter) for the exact reason others have mentioned. Since sway control utilizes ABS, I found the battle between lane centering and sway control kills your mileage.
I had the same experience in March on a trip to Florida. On a stormy day with heavy crosswinds, my truck behaved like yours. With some on the road troubleshooting, I decided to turn off 'lane centering' and immediately felt an improvement. I also discovered that sway control defaults to 'on'...
My 2021 F150 Lariat is at the dealer's today for this exact issue. On a recent trip to Florida, I had to re-enter the trailer dimensions before leaving the hotel in the morning, at every gas stop, at every rest stop, at every meal stop and any other stop along the way. I'll let you know what...
Wow... awesome tutorial! Can you offer a few tips on removing the two side panels? Once they come off, it seems that other mounting points become visible. I'm nervous about damaging them since a newb mistake would be very visible. Thanks.
I was having a great deal of trouble with "hands on wheel" warnings, etc. Gripping the wheel firmly with two hands didn't seem to have the desired effect.
After reading the "hack" thread (which imho I disagree with on a number of levels) I tried active steering participation. I'm not trying to...
You may find the explanation in the manual. It not a flaw, it is an intentional design feature. If you check the manual (page 323 of the pdf version) under Adaptive Cruise Control --> Lane Centering --> Lane Centering Alerts you will see this note...
Note: The system disables until the next key...
Add me to the group as well. My Lariat was built on May 17th. and I have spent the last few days trying to figure out how activate FordPass. I will contact my dealer on the first of the week. Thanks to those trail breakers who found the solution and shared it with the rest of us.
For what it's worth, my truck was delivered to dealer last Wednesday AM (6 days back from today). I checked "palsapp" a minute ago and my order still shows "pending". Nothing has changed since the invoice number was added.
I agree too. I guess this makes me " old school" but I like to have it next to the recliner with some mini Post-It notes to bookmark and a highlighter for important items. I would pay for a hard copy if it was reasonably priced.
I didn"t post to offend anyone. I'm not known for my luck. I just wanted to give some hope to others who might be agonizing over placing an order.
If I have any luck left, I'll pass it on to you.
I would like to explain my experience in ordering a 2021 F-150 Lariat. I apologize for the length but I think this “good news” story is worth sharing. The F150Gen14 forum has been extremely helpful in understanding the Special Order process.
On March 31, 2021, I placed an order, with my local...
As I understand it and correct me if I'm wrong, there are three parts to the Co-Pilot 360 Technology.
The base level includes BLIS with cross traffic alert and trailer tow coverage and is standard to all F-150 series from XL and up.
The next level (the one that disappeared on me) is Ford...
I'm not sure whether this is intentional due to chip shortage or a software glitch. On March 6th. I 'built' a Lariat 502A High (which should include Co-Pilot Assist 2.0) and a Lariat 501A Std (and added Co-Pilot Assist 2.0 as an option). I recently went back to my saved 'builds' after a dealer...
