I don't have many pictures on my phone. I can take some if needed when I get home next week. Note that my truck is not level, I have larger 2.5" rear blocks so my truck has about 3" of rake. I tow a heavy trailer so I prefer to retain some rake.

Was yout smell all the time? Oddly I only have a smell in the cab when a window or roof is vented at lower speeds. I don't have any odor when when all windows are closed. My smell seems more like gear lube than propane.

I have Roush and 295/60r20 on stock platinum wheels. 35's would clear no problem but it would mean 11.5 width. I would like 12.5 width but as Vin pointed out and in the pic you can see the clearance to the control arm is tight with an 11.6 width on stock +44 offset.

The "crack" has not returned for me as well. Heavy use and standing on it is the day it stopped for me.

Last Saturday I had some demo debris which I loaded into a 40 yd dumpster by standing on the tailgate and having some fairly heavy items on it. I have closed the tailgate 20+ times since and it no longer makes the binding sound. Not sure if will stay but perhaps some use of the tailgate helps.

Thanks for the response. I didn't think airbags added height at 5 #, but I had the exact same result as you using Airlifter 5000 bags. So added a hair more rake then I had calculated in my case.

I have a piece of trim shown in the picture on my passenger front door that is not flush. I tried releiving pressure on the door panel but it does not help. Does anyone have an easy fix for this or is it something you typically take to the dealer?

Does anyone know of a mount similar to Blendmount but locate the rd to one side of the mirror as shown in the picture instead of below? I tried the Blendmount but it blocked too much of the view based on the mounting height needed for the mag mount detach to have enough clearance.

Is the slipping torsion bar a common issue on new trucks as well? Just asking as the OP's dealer spent several hours with it.

I have a 2022 Platinum delivered a week ago with this exact issue. It makes the loud crack about an inch before closing. It does it when the power tailgate is turned off and manually shutting it as well. No issue when opening. Have not taken it in yet.
