Agreed with above.
I did that per the instructions. It helped, but not enough. The plug is sandwiched between the frame rail and intercooler piping. Still not enough room to get my finger up and on top of the plug. I'll try again using some sort of hook to press the tab down instead.
So I tried to install the MegaOhm resistor this past week. Extremely straight forward and everyone says it takes 5 minutes to install......these people must have pencil-thin fingers.
Seriously, how in the world are folks getting their fingers up on the tab to release the coupling? There is about...
I've read a few of these posts of the years and the opinions seem to be 50/50.
For it: "It's federally required, it helps keep people safe, and it's not that noticeable."
Against it: "It's obnoxious"
I understand the intent behind the law but my issue with it is that modern ICE cars are just...
We just used a bunch of extension cords in the moment. But getting that transfer switch on the main panel is certainly on my to-do list now.
And they want to ban gas stoves as well 🤦♂️ I'm starting to believe the conspiracies....that they just want to make all residents as dependent on the...
Not sure if anyone follows the CA news but it has been a s**t show here the last few days. Fire burning down entire cities and electrical blackouts everywhere. Luckily for me and my family, I was hit with the latter of the two.
Whole town went dark - all businesses closed due to no power...
You used to be able to on the Ford app but they have since removed that feature (no clue why).
If they are actively choosing to make this harder for us, then I'm not going to bother with their app at all.
@Ford Motor Company this decision is counterproductive.
Had my first attempt at towing over the weekend. Roughly 6,000 lbs total through some uphill and downhill. Truck handled it like a champ. Averaged 15.6 mpg over about 200 miles (5 mpg during the uphill portions).
Everything else seems to function as intended.
As for the OTA update - I have no clue. I don't pay attention to those. Whichever was the latest one I presume.
Perhaps this was due to a recent over-the-air update but previously when I would turn my truck off, the radio would remain on until I opened the door at which point the radio would turn off and the rear seat warning would start up. But as of maybe a week ago, now when I turn the truck off and...
Is there a reasonably affordable option to get more bass out of the B&O system?
My wife's old Explorer ST had much more bass and her new 4Runner even has great bass but the F150 just does not compare. Hell, my $300 JBL Boombox sounds miles better than the F150 B&O system.
I don't want an...
I thought it was gimmicky when I bought my truck and thought I'd never use it......I use it every time I need to get into the bed now. Most useful thing on the truck.
@Cobra129 perhaps you can find a matching color tailgate with the fold-away step from a junkyard for cheap.
That's the same product I use.
The Mustang was easy. The wife's Explorer was doable. I suppose I'll just need to block off a Saturday or Sunday and get it done.
I suppose a quick wash at home doesn't take me that long (did one yesterday) but just thinking about polishing the whole truck and then ceramic coating the whole thing.....nope.
Back when I was a single man, I loved washing and detailing my own vehicles. I also always had smaller sports cars or motorcycles so there wasn't a ton of surface area to clean. Now that I have a family, I don't have the same time to spend detailing and this F150 is freaking massive in...
