What's the trick for pulling the center caps off? I tried a bit with some plastic interior trim tools that I have, but eventually gave up as even they were too thick to fit into the gap and I didn't want to scratch my wheels. I'm not even sure I have the max tow axle, but figured I would...
I think it's nothing more than cost cutting.
They are constantly thinking of ways of decontenting that won't cause a real ripple event in sales. When the keypad came up for debate, the arguments against were most likely...
1) Not everyone uses it/wants it
2) Many workarounds after its...
Having "tuned in" a bit better, I would say that the clunkiness is now less often, but still definitely there once in awhile. I think I have gotten used to it, so it's ignored a bit, and it happens a bit less often.
My 2023 is my first Ford, but I knew about the keypad from other owners. I don't use it daily, but I use it multiple times a week. If I am running errands and getting in and out of the truck a lot, my default is to just lock the key in the center storage bin and use the keypad all day long.
There's better experts than I, but if prior year XLTs could come with keypad, I would assume Ford used the same wiring harness. One way to be sure is open your door panel and take a peek.
I love my 2023 F150 Tremor V8, but it will be really tough not to get a 250 next time around. I miss the regular size bed. Only reservation will be that it will have to become an "outside" truck. But that comes with some upsides as well...as in more garage space for my motorcycles.
That’s good to know. The thing looks really good with zero lift.
It’s definitely on the radar. Did you look at the Landcruiser at all?
Please send a side shot of the GX.
You could also just park it in the hot sun some day and it will work that way too. At least that worked for my lame "Tremor" stickers on both sides of the bed.
I have a F150 Tremor, and right now if I had to replace it, I would be very tempted by a F250 Tremor. I want the 6.5 bed. I'm also tempted by going to an 8 foot bed too. Would mean no more garage parking, but I'd like to try one out for a while.

I went back and actually found the email from two years ago. After Granger did their Pre-Delivery Inspection, she said they noticed "one spot with some light scratches" that would be "repaired before you take delivery".
I have no idea what they did. If they were light, I am sure the...
We are still probably 3 years away from replacing the wifey's vehicle, but she really likes the look of the GX, so it's sort of on our radar. She's got a QX80 right now, before that she had a Yukon XL. She's used to driving buses, and I've been trying to have her downsize a bit. I think the...
