I agree with a lot of what was said. My two issues.
1. My wife and I travel, mainly to Florida, where my kids and grandkids are located, and to Minneapolis, for the same reason. I make it in two days and one day from Port St Lucie, FL to Key West, (where I got 31 mpg in 30 - 45 mph traffic)...
Like @Kanuck, I have also been using the NOCO, and when I check my SOC I have consistently been above 80% - 85% before I go to bed with the hood latched but not closed.
I have a NOCO on my wife's 2024 Escape (both on the fuse box using velcro), and both negative cords are connected to the body...
The PAT was standard on the 2024 KR and Platinum, but many chose not to wait and used the delete code to return to the standard tailgate and step. I had the standard tailgate with the tailgate step on the last few F150s. Opening the PAT door and getting in the bed is enough. I haven't needed to...
I have the factory retractable rear step on my 2024 KR PB and it works great.
The step is well made and installed on the rear hitch bar without drilling. Four bolts over the hitch bar to attach the mount and four bolts to attach the step mechanism.
It extends and retracts using just my foot...
As was stated, there are two buttons above your headlight controls.
When the buttons are off the spotlight is off.
When the buttons are on the spotlight is on.
I am in favor of everything except the console shifter! I would HATE it being on the column! If it's on the column in 2028, I won't be leasing a new truck; I will be buying my 2024.
I just watched a video where you use a box end wrench to open it. Boy that makes it easy without the strap.

I still just bought that latch!
@flixden Yes it can be purchased from a dealership parts department or Ford's accessory website.
If you know how to program a new fob you can do it yourself.
