It is a 6” BDS lift as well. Yeah when loaded down and flexed I do get a small rub on plastic, not enough that I plan to bother with. I’ve only had it happen one time with a heavy load when off road. I think if I would have went with the coil overs up front it would likely not, but I went...
Here are a couple pics. Mileage took a bit of a hit, but my lead foot doesn’t help. I lost about 3mpg, still get some hybrid miles on electric maybe not quite as much but still gets some benefit from that.
Doesn’t sound like you are missing anything. All the info I had before I started was based on the tables and changing digits of that code, it wasn’t needed and changing the circumference was very easy.
It is actually pretty easy to do and you don’t need the codes or the tables. From the BCM module (not from the as-built menu), there is a selection for “tire circumference” that you can change and relearn. I changed mine to what the tire MFR said was the circumference and did a test ride...
like Sentinel said above it was pretty easy.
So first go through and save all of the stock (Asbuilt) settings just so you have them for backup
- there are videos online that show you how, and really that is the same procedure for the settings, so it is good practice before you really...
there is a camera in the third brake light at the top of the truck. The cap will cover it entirely. Never had a camera there that I was aware of on previous trucks.
Here is my attempt at a before and after. BDS 6” installed with BFG KO2’s (325x60x20). There was a small amount of trimming on just the plastic trim up front.
Got my new tires onto the wheels, ready for my lift to go on next.
TCCustoms had BDS lifts in stock, so I’ve got everything but the driveshaft bearing spacer kit that should also be on the way. Hoping to have this stuff on in the next week or so. Couldn’t resist setting the new wheels next...
Yeah my dealership has also said that they cannot update my tire size unless it is a factory option with the truck. (Somewhat full of shit, since others are doing it).
going to be looking into this since I have a lift kit and tires in my garage now.
Truck looks great, I have the 157WB also and my 6” BDS arrives this week. It looks like you went 35”x12.5x20 on the Ridge grapplers. I am working out my tires yet, do you think 37” should have rubbed or is there a lot of clearance still with your setup?
Alright my lift is in My state now and should be in my hands by EOD Friday!!
Decided to go with 6” BDS kit and need to get tires sorted out now. I’m heavily leaning to BFG KO2 but having some FOMO on size…..
35x12.5x20 is the easy, know it fits no frills size. (But I am concerned that there...
Thank you for that info, I have now found a 6” coil over, and both 4 & 6 in the standard kits now. Going to confirm a couple last things with my local installer before I order.
Truck looks great! I am going to talk to my dealer about the speedo and relearn process, and have a local shop looking into ordering the BDS kit for me (sounds like a significant wait at the moment).
