You should do what he said ^^^ just make sure the shock doesnt over compress. Than when you want to spend the money, have a shop install a hydraulic bump stop in the exact spot so you get full up travel.

can you disassemble the leaf pack so its just the one leaf with spacers to imitate the overall pack thickness (if needed), then cycle the suspension and set it up so it full bumps before the shocks do? trim as needed to fit the tires without limiting up travel? Durobumps make AMAZING bump stops...
