  1. 2022 CCD shocks ride like crap?

I have also never used Eco mode for more than a few seconds. It just makes the gas pedal so numb. I’m still running around with @bmwfrk settings and pretty happy. Although at times I wish it was even a bit more firm to get rid of some of the slight body roll you get at times with certain...
  2. Still waiting for my truck!

If that happens, you should buy a lotto ticket too!
  3. Still waiting for my truck!

Buckle up, it could sit there for days, weeks, a month or more. Then start the journey to you, but get stuck in a rail yard for a bit longer. You just don't know. My truck was built in late November and didn't show up to the dealer until mid-January. Amazing how Amazon can keep you posted...
  4. 3.5 eb Cold start noise (I don't think its cam phasers or wastegate rattle)

Mine has also done this on cold starts since new. One of my buddies thought it sounded like the garbage disposal in your sink making a ‘ratcheting‘ type sound.
  5. Lariat Sport Grill Damage

Bummer about the grill. That little ‘black cap’ looking square on the emblem next to the camera is a washer for the front camera. Ford got rid of that in ‘23. I bet the grill in that link you posted is from a ‘23 truck. Not sure how hard it would be to remove your emblem and transfer it to the...

  7. Continuously Controlled Damping (CCD) Experiences

That's interesting! My 502a Lariat has CCD without scales and I questioned why my payload was listed as 0 in the simple VDM menu too. I will say, I absolutely noticed a difference when I plugged in my stock values there or increased them beyond my stock values. There is some good additional...
  8. I really don't get the PB hate.

I really wanted a powerboost, but I needed some decent payload with the towing I do with my truck. Make a PB with a heavy duty payload option, I’d be all about it!
  9. Shocks for Stock Height - Factory Ride Quality or Softer, but Better Control?

I had the Bilstein 4600’s on my previous truck, they were great. Big improvement overall. Yes, a bit more firm than stock, but the truck felt planted,. I would not call the ride quality rough or jarring in anyway.
  10. 2022 CCD shocks ride like crap?

Yes, we are truck nerds! :D Appreciate the reply @Snakebitten the RAS is probably the right move for me considering my use case. I do not have a desire to raise the unloaded ride height, as these max tow trucks have a good rake to them already. I did not consider dialing out the RAS when...
  11. 2022 CCD shocks ride like crap?

I have been debating getting the RAS or Timbrens for my setup. My trailer is heavy, right at ~9500lbs fully loaded. I have Weigh Safe WDH setup which is AMAZING. My truck is very close to level when towing, maybe just a hair down in the rear. I am impressed how the truck handles it, but I do...
  12. 2022 CCD shocks ride like crap?

I put my payload settings back to stock values and applied @bmwfrk 's settings in the as-built data this morning. Was easy to do now that my FORscan learning curve is about there. :) I drove the truck around quite a bit after the changes. Bumpy roads, dips in the road, grade changes pulling in...
  13. 2022 CCD shocks ride like crap?

Great feedback @bmwfrk ! I have my payload up to 1500kg the simple way and have been driving around that way the last few days. Totally agree with your assessment. It feels stiff when it hits the initial bump, but there is still some rebound control that is lacking. I think I have my brain...
  14. First tow and my auto leveling lights were blinding

I'm just chasing the easy stuff. I'll let Ford deal with it at some point... Right now I adjust the lights manually when towing, then adjust them back when driving around unloaded. I only tow 5 or 6 times a year, so it's not the end of the world. But it should still work.
  15. First tow and my auto leveling lights were blinding

Don't blame you for ignoring the wall of text. I ended up answer my own question (just posted above your reply). I already have the rear tires at max pressure and use a weight distribution hitch for my enclosed car trailer. The truck is almost level, just a bit down on the rear. These lights...
  16. First tow and my auto leveling lights were blinding

Ignore all of what I just posted. :) I answered my own question digging a bit deeper. Appears CCD sends the height info over the CAN bus. So yeah, my truck is set correctly I guess, but still junk since it doesn't work! Great post in this thread here...
  17. First tow and my auto leveling lights were blinding

Back from the dead! This continues to be an issue for me, but I have not gone back to Ford again. I have recently gotten into FORscan and looked at my as built data of the Headlamp Control Module (HCM) and noticed something interesting. Mine looks different than what I see posted by others. For...
  18. 2022 CCD shocks ride like crap?

Appreciate the additional feedback @bmwfrk . I will probably keep tweaking mine in simple mode a bit more. I'm at 780kg now, will try 1000 or 1500 or more and see how it feels.
  19. 2022 CCD shocks ride like crap?

I sure did! No change to any of the values we've been discussing, so it must be some value(s) somewhere else in the VDM I suppose. I think I follow the hex changes now, but I may just play with the payload setting a bit more to see how the truck changes. Truly appreciate everyone's input! As...
