I really like the look of the Lariat sport grille and have been thinking about picking one up for my black 2023 STX. It seems everyone is doing the opposite and putting STX grilles on their higher trims. Is there a reason everyone likes the STX grille so much better?

I am 6’2” tall so side steps serve the purpose of transferring dirt to my pants and that is about it. I took them off and love the look. I am now kinda worried without the steps a lot more stones and rocks are going to be thrown up at my rocker panels. FYI factory side steps are 20 lbs each.
I was always under the impression that you shouldn’t use 4x4 on dry pavement. In sport mode it engages 4x4. Can someone smarter than me explain why this is now ok.
