  1. 2022 Lightning Pro sold out [update: confirmed]

The limited availability messages seem to only show when not logged in.
  2. Lightning WAVE 2 Emails Coming 1/19 For Ordering on 1/20 – Per Ford Customer Service

If we were to average out the number of reservations each dealer claim to have we'd be looking at 500k+.
  3. Sentry Mode, Dash Cam, ugly unfinished area

The power draw of Sentry Mode is around 700W. While it's not the 2 mph EaglesPDX claimed, it's definitely enough to notice if running overnight.
  4. Sentry Mode, Dash Cam, ugly unfinished area

I'll be bummed to lose the convenience of built-in dashcams when I switch from a Tesla to an F-150L but that just means I'll buy cameras to install in the truck. The quality of the footage Tesla cams is pretty dodgy any way, and there's no audio. Also as mentioned before, Tesla's cameras hog a...
  5. Anyone opting for the Lightning Platinum? Care to tell me why?

I think your first sentence answered your question. Some folks don't want to be seen in a vehicle unless if it advertises how expensive it is.
  6. Dumb question maybe, but where does the $80,000 "cap" number for the EV credit come from

Yes, it does seem hard to imagine Ford dropping the price of their Lightning now but maybe the hype won't be so big with other EV trucks being available in a couple years.
  7. Dumb question maybe, but where does the $80,000 "cap" number for the EV credit come from

When GM's tax credits evaporated, their Bolt MSRP coincidentally went down by exactly the same amount. The way I see this credit is it's not for us to take advantage of but the manufacturers do instead. I'm certain Ford's prices on their EVs will have to drop once they lose credits.
  8. How will you pay for your Lightning?

Are the interest rates going up or something? The rates would have to be pretty high (about 5% or so) to make buying with cash worth it.
  9. Dumb question maybe, but where does the $80,000 "cap" number for the EV credit come from

When Ford reaches 200k the credit doesn't immediately disappear. Instead, it will halve for two quarters, and then be done.
  10. Cybertruck Delayed Again - No new ETA

The base dual motor Cybertruck has about the same chance to exist as the standard range (not plus) Model 3.
  11. Updated Ford Intelligent Backup Power page details 320-Amp Home Service Required o_O

Exactly. I think Ford simply copy-pasted Sunrun's requirements if a home has solar.
  12. Pre-Approval Email From Ford

That's awesome! I'm sure you can use some crappy satellite internet if necessary.
  13. Ford's epic Lightning bait-and-switch is complete (the official "I'm out" thread).

I didn't know there would be many customers cross-shopping a full size pickup with a hatchback. I didn't know anybody in 2022 would consider buying a Leaf since it doesn't even have a liquid cooled battery. I didn't know someone would confuse kW(power) and kWh(energy).
  14. Updated Ford Intelligent Backup Power page details 320-Amp Home Service Required o_O

I have a feeling their 320A requirement is assuming an included solar install. From what I know Sunrun will attempt to upsell customers on this.
  15. Pre-Approval Email From Ford

My guess is anyone who decides not to order hoped to buy an extended range version under $70k.
  16. Charging the F-150 Lightning: Everything You Need To Know [Video]

I don't know either, and it's killing me that they just don't let us know!
  17. Charging the F-150 Lightning: Everything You Need To Know [Video]

I watched the vid earlier this morning. I was interested in finding out if he knows anything about the backup power, and no mention of an inverter needed to be purchased, just the charge station pro and transfer switch.
  18. Ford's epic Lightning bait-and-switch is complete (the official "I'm out" thread).

I can't think of company in the world to make their first EV truck better than Ford, so yes.
  19. Priority list and waves 2+

The playbook Ford emailed to all the dealers said that the waves would happen roughly every two weeks, so it may happen a day early or later than the 20th, who knows.
