Given your responses, you are uneducated and make very little money “Sport” (LOL).
Boston University disagrees with you, which disproves your point Sport.

Typical response of an uneducated person - call someone a Liberal when you have nothing else to say. Apparently your family didn’t believe in no fancy book learning (LOL).
Boston University disagrees with you - but it would seem that you believe your high school education trumps all (LOL).

You present like yet another clueless wonder, who fancies themselves a barstool intellectual. Given your ridiculous comments, you clearly lack the intelligence to conceptualize the “big picture”. I will attempt to provide an overview, at a level appropriate to an 8 year old - hopefully you are...
What colour is the sky in your world ?
Does your psychiatrist know that you have stopped taking your medication ?
You present as a clueless wonder, yet rather than quietly leaving a discussion when it eclipses both your educational level, and IQ level, you double down on your stupidity...
Not sure if you have ever been to a collision scene where an EV battery pack has ignited due to the impact - but the resulting fire is intense - requiring a specialized approach by the responding fire department.
Throughout my comments, I have specifically referred to the seals of the...
Your assertion that a “short circuit” is required to cause a battery seal to fail, is not remotely true.
The seal of any, of the many lithium batteries, that make up the overall battery pack, could fail as result of a significant collision, aging (especially in harsh conditions), or due to poor...
The danger is when any one of the multiple battery seals becomes corrupted - due to a significant collision, or as they age, or due to poor quality control / manufacturing processes. If all three of the above factors converge - and water is present - then a fire is virtually inevitable.
The gentleman’s concern about water intrusion into a lithium battery has nothing to do with a “short circuit”. Lithium reacts violently when exposed to water (or steam) - creating an exothermic reaction (heat), and producing both hydrogen gas (highly flammable) and lithium hydroxide (toxic).
The point that you do not seem able to grasp, is that overpaid unionized labor is a significant cost in the current production model - that also uses quite a lot of components made offshore - at a lower cost.
If you start manufacturing ALL of the components used in the production of an F150, in...
The point that you are sidestepping - is that unionized labor and strike action - has gotten to the point of the “tail wagging the dog”. How is it reasonable (or logical) that someone with a Grade 10 education, operating a forklift at a dock unloading container ships - takes home more money...
Ford has had vehicle assembly plants and parts producing plants, in both the USA and Canada for over 70 years - from the old days of Ford being a 100% North American made product. Mexico was added to the North American production family around 30 plus years ago - again, back when Ford was 100%...
Our family fleet is deployed strategically. The oldest vehicle goes to malls and grocery stores - to suffer doors dings and aberrant shopping carts that morons cannot place in the cart corral. The most fuel efficient vehicle is used for longer drives. The truck is used for all things truck. So...
I just noticed your comment @Snakebitten - I am not certain if your question was directed toward myself, or simply toward anyone who could put forth an answer.
I am new to this Forum (and to being a Ford owner), but I have read many of your posts and am always impressed with your knowledge...
I ordered a 2024 RCSB several weeks before you did, and it is not scheduled to be built for another week or so. If my order is actually built, it will likely be the last 2024 to roll off the assembly line at the Kansas plant (LOL).
You are confusing amperage with voltage. A larger battery (H8) has a higher amp hour capacity than the original battery (H6 or H7). This is often measured / denoted by a higher cold cranking amp capacity.
The voltage potential remains the same - when fully charged all of the above batteries...
The charging system in modern vehicles is computer controlled. The software is programmed to both maximize battery life (which does not seem to be the real world case) and minimize fuel consumption (increase MPG).
Many people may not notice, but often at highway speeds - the A/C Compressor will...
