Yeah, have more pics of the 04? I find just the shackles with a 2" front drop has the rake a bit aggressive. Hoping pulling the overload leaf and getting an extra 3/4" will have it where I want it.
Which lowering kit do you have on the 2004?
I am about to install a Belltech 2/3 on my 2009 RCSB. It already being a 2WD, it's actually a 2/2. Will be pulling the overlead leaf to get the rear a little lower.
Agree with this.
If you're not looking to add a supercharger but want to feel more performance, put on a catback and install a pedal commander or pedal monster. Those two mods will satisfy you for now, until a tune is available OR you go Supercharged.
My '22 battery just bit the dust.
Has given me the save battery mode for some time.
I haven't driven it for a couple weeks and tried yesterday and now totally pooched. I'm sure I could boost the truck and see if I can try to salvage it but nah, I'll grab an H8 this week.
Have you or others done the 2M fab headers w/cats?
I've been looking at them. Can't understand why the SW are so much more, either.
I'm trying to decide between 2M, SW and LTH all with high flow cats to mate to the Corsa pre-axle catback.
2M most attractive in price point, even if they do...
Significant difference in pedal response and feel. You can make the truck wake up much quicker with less of a touch. Feels faster, while not actually being any faster.
Takes the slop out of the pedal. Hard to explain without experiencing it.
Pairs really well with a tune for sequential shifting.
I've ran a Pedal Commander for nearly 2 years on my 5.0.
Have to agree, total improvement for the driving experience and a great mod.
Also agree on the Pedal Monster over the Pedal Commander. I just placed an order for the Banks unit to replace the Pedal Commander. I've lost the Pedal probably...
On my 2020 Lariat I did the 2.25" front lift and had the same squatting look. Didn't like it, at all.
Added a 1" lift block on top of the OEM block and made it look much nicer.
Pretty sure you can do both with the use of air bags on the rear.
My truck isn't any less capable, as long as I stay on the pavement.
I've had both those trucks except the 1st Gen Lightning. Always on the hunt, though.
I do miss the Harley. The Lightning was too much a headache with...
Something about a nicely done street truck has always appealed to me. The reality is that 98% of guys who level/lift and throw on knobby tires never leave the asphalt. I've done it once and meh, the street truck days of the 90s/00s still remain the best IMO.
My truck is 4x4. Which I still use...
I have an '09 RCSB, '22 Expedition and the 5.0.
Fortunately, they are all the exact same bolt pattern so I can justify to myself having way too many wheel sets. 😅
I need to make some changes on my truck, just hadn't gotten around to doing it.
Can I go in and get the 2 month trial anymore, or pay the $12?
These irregular turn signals from my LED projector swap are getting annoying.
