2 of these showed up at work...Police Responders. XL models with stripped down vinyl interior with no center console or seat, 4x4, and 3.5EB. Just something cool you don't see everyday.
Definitely sounds like a phaser. Hopefully you can actually get the dealership to let you see the ones they remove. And I'm not sure if 2.7 are like 3.5 but there was/is actually an updated phaser on the 3.5 that helped remedy most of their issues...worth looking into.
Here is my 3.5 with new...
Got a few more things installed.
BuiltRight bedside MOLLE panel with a Rotopax 3 gal fuel jug. These parts were something I had removed from my Raptor.
You can also see the @TripleAliners bed mat here as well. Its a great choice if you dont want to pull the trigger on the full spray in liner...
Ok, here's my update.
I removed the OEM front struts with Rough Country 2" spacer and replaced with 6112.
My clunk is gone.
My front left OE strut was leaking heavily with only 8K miles on it.
Was that the issue? I cant say for sure. I just know its gone now
Additionally, I...
Oh, I also replaced the OE front pads with Powerstop Tow pads. I used them on all my past F-150s and have liked them (obviously that's a preference). I do tow a few long trips a year for racing and have never had issues.
I do not use the Powerstop slotted/drilled rotors and just prefer the OE...
Here you go...all shots are the front drivers wheel/tire.
My main concern was, "Is my truck going to be covered in crap all the time from the +6?" I'm happy to report that the actual meat of the tread does not stick out from under the fender...the sidewall does but has not presented an issue...
Well I survived the snow adventure. I was really impressed with the truck and the BFG KO2 as I know some say they don't do well in ice and snow. For me they did a great job.
I drove it around mostly in the "weather" drive mode and/or 2wd.
Unfortunately, there looks to be one less RCSB on...
Thanks...this is the other hobby:
It makes the F-150 mods seem cheap in comparison!
Plus the truck will be the tow rig and once the dealer ever gets my trailer brake controller installed I'll be excited to see how it tows.
I have done some looking and didn't see any good options (yet) for the 2024 STX and now 2025 Lariat/XLT to upgrade the fogs in the OE location. I think I'll just be adding some ditch lights and backup lights before I head to Moab in March.
I'll have to re-take the measurements as I didn't write them down.
But, the 2" spacer vs. the 6112 set at 1.9" resulted in the front being right at 1/8" lower...so there is still a slight rear rake when measuring F vs. R to the middle of the fenders.
Yes, I had it aligned immediately after the 2" spacer lift. It was in spec on all measurements afterwards.
I torqued all the bolts I removed back to factory specs so definitely not issues there.
Mine seemed to be the left font clunk also.
Got the Bilstein suspension installed from @Hotshot Offroad
I have done tons of 5100 installs on various trucks and damn these 6112 are massive in comparison! I was happy to remove the 2" Rough Country spacer for some real suspension. During the install I was very surprised to find one of my...
Yeah I only had them for right at 5k miles. Most of the reviews I found on them when I was looking to purchase were from Australia...they are huge over there!
My 5k mile closeout review would be this...at around $1k shipped from simpletire.com (after a maxxis and military discount) they were...
Since I mentioned it previously, here is the XLT leather wheel. I initially tried to just plug and play but had to swap over my STX steering wheel controls. However, I did remove the XLT control trim and swap my controls into it...looks a bit nicer than the black STX one.
And I found a...
OP, great info!
Doing this mod on a 2024 STX and thought I'd add the correct switch info for that model. This is an all black switch (no chrome trim) that replaces the single function OEM center large hazard switch.
