So, got an update today. Ford had reached out on this post and set up a case number for me 5 days ago. Just got a call from the advisor assigned to my truck. Looks like I am indeed shit out of luck. Ford is apparently unwilling to make any of this right. So now I’m back to square one.

I would take a look in the service manual. That would tell you if any software configuration is required. It would also give you procedures for dealing with the high voltage.
