Give it a little time. My ‘23 Lariat w/ max tow was a little harsher than my ‘13 and the trans was clunky. After around 3500 miles everything settled in and she’s a smooth road tripper now. Good luck.
Some of these cheap detail decisions boggle the mind, while prices continue to climb. I spent a small fortune on my Lariat in ‘23 and loved all the LEDs and zone lighting, etc…..then you spot the trash halogen license plate lights for the first time. A true WTF moment. Sure, a $10 fix from...
I had a mustang with water in the gas that caused all kinds of issues with idle and warning lights. It spent an entire weekend in the shop. They drained and replaced the gas and it was perfect after that.
Keep an eye on it and let us know if you figure it out.

Keep an eye on it and see if it gets better with a new tank of gas, etc. If not, keep taking it in.
Just my 0.02 cents.
I had an ‘11 5.0 and have a ‘23 5.0 now. Besides the wet belt and cylinder deactivation you mentioned, they also measure in at 307 cubic inches (vs the old 302)and have other minor revisions over the years, So, technically you’re right, it’s updated and more powerful. Side note: in my opinion...
Just had my ring and pinion replaced at 22k after a leak was noticed. They had it for 12 days. Now, at 26k I notice it leaking again. Nothing like having your 1 year old Lariat leaking oil in your driveway. FML
Man, hate seeing this.
I had a paint issue with mine I didn’t notice until I got it home, but Ford acted quickly and gave me a loaner until it was repaired…then delivered the truck to my office.
Then, I had a bad ring and pinion and it was in the shop for 12 days; again with a loaner.
I’d say...
