  1. Where to get a front Torsen Differential installed in a F150 non Tremor/Raptor?

Yes, what I'm referring to is specifically the interface of the worm gear and the worm wheel. Not the spur gears. It's my understanding this is how the the Torque Bias Ratio works. https://www.zhome.com/ZCMnL/tech/Torsen/Torsen.htm Dip into section 3.2 which goes into the math, and you'll...
  2. Where to get a front Torsen Differential installed in a F150 non Tremor/Raptor?

Look at 2:50 on the video you posted, and you can see the blue gears moving with the dark orange worm gear, while the light orange worm gear is going slower. It's going slower as the blue gears are sliding along the light orange worm gear, and the light orange axle is not moving "backwards."
  3. How to change TPMS after rotating tires

I didn't have to do this either, BUT my sensor was a Ford sensor previously on an F150. Maybe it being an OE Ford sensor means the truck didn't have to "learn" it.
  4. How to change TPMS after rotating tires

It was OEM. I had the tire shop verify that it was transmitting when I had the 5th tire installed, but they did not pair it to the truck (truck wasn't even around at the time). When I rotated it in 5K later, the truck picked it up and read it with no action on my part.
  5. How to change TPMS after rotating tires

It does not, but I included in my comment that I do 5-tire rotate. I have another factory rim and oversized AT tire. I also over-inflate the spare a bit so it is less likely to be under pressure if needed, which would also be easy to identify if it was being read.
  6. How to change TPMS after rotating tires

Do you know that for sure, as in have a source? I would think this would cause issues in a 5-tire rotation with TPMS (I 5-tire rotate and have no detection problems), unless the detection is fine enough where it could detect the 1-2 feet difference between all the tires at the back, while two...
  7. How to change TPMS after rotating tires

They definitely do. I couldn't ever find specifics on how it detects. It could be the raw signal strength>distance, but that seems inaccurate. It could be there are motion sensors inside each TPMS sensor and the sensors broadcast on every revolution, essentially giving the car something to...
  8. Nokian Outpost nAT

Interesting split of opinion. I got them (the original AT) due to their light weight and Nokian's rep for making one of if not the best snow tires (Hakkapeliitta). I have yet to experience snow, but found them to be sure footed in the wet. Currently at 10k on them, running at 43 PSI cold. Far...
  9. ReadyAir helper spring airbag install, impressions

What kit did you install? Not all air springs are the same.
  10. Low 'Hum' in 4A

Yes. I figured it was from the front tired being driven. On the stock tires it was close to the sound made when cornering sharply at speed. Also the sound changed when I switched tires.
  11. ReadyAir helper spring airbag install, impressions

I just installed these this weekend as well for my adventure slide-in. I'll probably be upgrading to their management setup soon. Because they are my homies and ex-employers, I would like to call out that these are not made by the team at ReadyLift, but by Logiq. This is the team that was...
  12. Baer Brakes Big Claw Performance Rotor Kit - #2261046

I'm guessing the directional vanes require less thickness for sufficient airflow. Cost control? Some companies a crazy about COGS. Can't think of any obvious reason there might be to make it thinner as a benefit.
  13. Baer Brakes Big Claw Performance Rotor Kit - #2261046

@staying_tuned Was the Baer rotor as thick as the OEM? The thickness measurements I've seen of the Baer rotor make it seem like it's thinner, but It's also a nominal measurement so that may be at min thickness.
  14. 2023 F-150 4x4 with 3.5l Ecoboost 6.5' bed with Tow / Hauling upgrade - payload overloading support and safety

This is a little nit-picky, but small rounding errors can add up: I think your gear/people estimate is a bit low, unless your people are exceptionally light. For reference, based on actual weights our gear for like 3 days of self sufficiency is about 450 lbs, and we do not take all that much...
  15. Upgrading to 4A

You don't need them for the TOD, as TOD trucks after 21 don't have them. The Tremor/Raptor has them because they have the TOD Hi-Lock. If you are a 21+ TOD truck and upgrade to the Hi-Lock, you need to add EIWEs because the TCCM looks for them to engage them. That's why they just get placed up...
  16. Would love more cornering stability. What would be the lowest hanging apple(s) on our trucks?

Dampers. Rear sway would be a band-aid on the stock shocks. I think Belltech has some street oriented dampers, but I'm not up on how good they are. ICONs have a digressive curve, but they might be too soft at higher shaft speeds for the street, or the knee might be too low since their primary...
  17. Factory catalytic converter protection

While that may be a possibility, I would wager that any event that puts a point load on the plate with enough force to bend it in a few inches at the center would likely have smashed straight through the transmission pan into the trans itself without it installed.
  18. OEM+ Build 2022 F-150 Lariat

Are you going to do the manual adjustment conversions, or do you have a solution for adding the control system in? Or aftermarket with SDi?
  19. Eccentric bolts for front lower control arms

Your shop saying this is a bit odd, since both @TexasTruck (POST) and @5.0Screw22 (POST) make no mention of this issue when stalling the 86252 kit on their trucks.
  20. J&L Oil Separator 3.5L Ecoboost

I would not say they do not have benefits, in the same way as a bypass oil filter setup would. The issue I take is that everyone seems like this "gunk" is exclusive to this motor, and then pushes an almost religious need for it, like your engine WILL FAIL if this is not implemented. My point...
