Looks fabulous & love Rapid Red. Would have had that as my 1st choice on my Tremor, but FoMoCo in their infinite wisdom, felt that it was inappropriate for a Tremor. AMB is a decent 2nd choice though.
"Even in sport mode it doesn't really take off until 3rd gear"; that's the difference between 5.0L and 3.5EB. Trust me, the Ecoboost is amazing from the standing start. I feel like a traitor to the 5.0L Coyote, as It's built in my home town of Windsor, ON (Essex Engine Plant). I don't feel...
no offense, but if you had the 3.5 eco-boost sport mode would not suck! It’s absolutely Dynamite on the twin turbo engine. Downside is awful fuel economy if you use its potential.
Fair enough! Although I live in Windsor ON Canada (near Detroit) I have not yet encountered a major snow squall in the 2 years I’ve owned my Tremor. I haven’t given a lot of thought to the fogs as my Glare-free (adaptive) projectors are arguably the best headlights that I’ve experienced. Shame...
I think you are missing the point; in thick fog the beam needs to be low to prevent reflected glare. Your raised beam will be pointing upward when viewed from an oncoming vehicle. I agree they are pretty much useless as cornering lamps except perhaps, when slowly navigating around an unfamiliar...
I’m sure you know the smoke colors:
Black = unburnt fuel/soot
Blue = oil
White = water
Having said that your truck is too new to draw definitive conclusions. I would be more concerned at 5000 K
Glare-Free has been disabled on 2024s. I located an article by CNN which provided clues as yo why, and it is basically foot dragging by the bureaucratic NHTSA. Ford had Glare Free in Europe for a while on several models including Mondeo (AKA Fusion), and had been anticipating NHTSA approval...
Glare Free has been disabled in 2024 models. Most likely because the NHTSA has been dragging its feet on final approval. It was never authorized in the United States only in Canadian deliveries, So technically, anyone that modified (Forscan), was violating current NHTSA Standards. I posted an...
check with your dealer there was a known problem with a certain batch of batteries and I had mine (2022) replaced for free, but having said that three years is not unusual, to only get three years out of it. Hopefully that’s the worst of your problems!
my understanding is the hardware is no longer present. And from Ford’s perspective, why should they continue to include it when there is no timeline from the NHTSA? So the projector headlights now only have a dynamic bending feature, which is basically left to right cornering shift, Which, of...
Sorry, I know this is an old post, but: Adaptive (Glare Free) technology has been removed from 2024+. Now only dynamic bending projectors are offered on Lariat and up (no Tremor now:mad:). It appears Ford was anticipating NHTSA approval, but like with most safety related issues, this body is...
I maybe stating the obvious, but there is no differential action, between front and rear axles, so when turning the front wheels, particularly the outside front wheels are rotating rapidly, while the rears, are "pivoting". I NEVER use 4H (or 4L) on anything but deep snow, mud, or VERY loose...
did you enable the adaptive? Standard in Canada, but enabled by Forscan in the USA. The difference is breathtaking! incidentally, they have eliminated adaptive headlamps in 2024. Cost cutting measures I assume!
I don't know why they downgraded the 24 Tremor lighting: no adaptive and no signature LEDs. I do like the overall look, but to lose my adaptive, would be a bridge too far.
Shadow? Which lighting setup: projector or reflector? My 22 projectors (Adaptive enabled), are the best headlights I've ever encountered. But then again, there is no clear demarcation between low and high.
