Defnitely not the case. I learned everything I know on this forum. I just have access to stuff most people don't have access to.
That failed update is not preventing other updates from being sent to you. That much I can tell you for sure.
I don't consider myself an expert with this, but having dealt with this same issue with other members, it cannot be done with FDRS. If someone knows something I don't, they can feel free to chime in.
No, unfortunately, the part number the server has for your truck does not match what actually is on the truck, so you will not be able to update the HVAC with FDRS, either.
Edit: At least that is my understanding of how this works.
Figured I'd post this here is an FYI:
I will be going to Japan for two weeks and the flight departs early tomorrow morning. I will have very limited access to anything while I am away. VIN checks will have to wait a while. I'm taking my laptop with me, but response times will be delayed.
No, not really. Your ADAS modules are up to date...all you need is the IPMA/PSCM updated. However, depending on where you are in terms of your Sync updates, you may still be far away from getting the OTA. Most of those pending updates have nothing to do with BC.
I don't have a name, but whoever it is, he or she is a grade-A asshole for deactivating my account and that of another very helpful member some months ago. All we're doing is what they can't or don't want to do and provide actual help and insight to their customer base, but I digress.
You can't force an OTA to be sent to your vehicle, and you can't force the dealer to update the truck, either. Ford does not pay dealer to update modules just because they are out of date. The dealer will only perform updates as part of a recall or if there is a problem that an update will fix...
DO NOT USE! Just worked with someone who tried to update their truck with this recently. I don't remember which module got bricked, but he ended up having to order a Mongoose to get his truck back on the street.
I messed up and didn't mean to include the VIN in my screenshots. I'll delete them now. It's not the 20 year old kid that ran the @Ford Motor Company account that I'm concerned about. There are others I know for a fact are still lurking.
@Nightranger4x4 Please delete the pic from my quote.
Because the OTA process is hot garbage. It is unknown why some vehicle fall more behind than others, but you are not alone and considering your truck is a 2021, it could be worse.
Just FYI for everyone: Ford seems to be moving away from the all numerical/alpha-numerical x.x.x OTA revisions and leaning toward a different format Like ECG-24.x.x.x or IPMA-24.x.x.x. Future update will start with an acronym of which module it is updates, the year and then some numbers that...
I'll gladly check, but please remove the VIN from your post.
Truck is on Sync 22294 which is pretty old at this point. Modules with pending updates are below. Connectivity seems to be working fine.....hard to say why this truck has fallen so far behind, but it is a bit behind.
21-23 trucks and 2024+ have a different IPC. The graphics will be different. It is possible that with an IPC update, the 21-23 trucks will get some improved graphics in the future, but right now, you cannot compare one to the other in terms of what you will see there while using BC, lane change etc.
Your truck is on Sync 23291 which is one version behind the latest one. Pending updates are below. Once you receive the GWM update you see there, it will release an update for your APIM that will bring you up to the latest version. Seems like this truck has been updated frequently with FDRS by...
PSCM not coming off is normal now.
Data not available means you will have to wait a bit before the files for the next APIM update release. Usually take a few hours or will happen overnight. You just try again, and it'll work like it is supposed to.
