So I haven't found much about Motomaster Synthetic on BITOG after CT switched back to Shell as their OEM, apart from it being a relabeled version of Pennzoil Premium. Was there an issue with Motomaster or was Ultra Premium that much better for your use case?
Huge trend recently with criminals finding plate numbers for vehicles similar to theirs to avoid police and toll/red light/speed cameras here in Ontario.
I'd rather not make it easier for them to make my life harder.
What prompted you to go to 0W30?
I mean I used to get the cheapest oil at QuickLane and followed the OLM like it was a religion on my previous Ford Escape so I feel like I'm overcompensating nowadays.
I thought about that, but with shipping (hidden in the online cost) the value proposition...
Yeah, apart from normal, every drive mode has an icon. I guess the changes to the IPC on the 12" are a lot more subtle than on the 8".
I'm jealous though. My wife has 4A on her Bronco and it's one of the things I miss the most on my XLT.
Since I purchased my F150, I've been running 8000 kilometre oil change intervals with Kirkland Synthetic 5W-30 with a Motorcraft filter on my 2.7 Ecoboost. I figured frequent changes took priority over fancy oils.
I'm now at the point where, either through maturity or by witnessing the Canadian...
The cluster came from @Livnitup, brand new cluster with a 2 year warranty at a great price. Cluster swapped in without an issue. Hardest part was to get the mileage to line up, especially since I'm a bit OCD. Did some math, went on a one way trip down a highway, turned back at halfway, and did...
Finally bit the bullet. Didn't replace the top pad, went the route @TruckLife did. Sanded down the nubs on the existing top pad and the new cluster bezel snapped right in. However, it's obviously not as secure as there are three push clips that aren't clipping into anything up top. It won't fall...
So, I can't say if you did for your specific configuration, but for reference:
In 2022, I factory ordered a 2023 XLT302A FX4 with a 2.7L and came out at $64,000 + Tax after getting $7,500 off.
In 2023, a coworker bought a 2022 XLT302A XTR with a 2.7L with no options for $59,000 + Tax without a...
I think that puts it into perspective. When all we have to complain about are button placement decisions, in a truck that can take a solid hit and let its occupants walk away uninjured, we have it pretty good.
I don't rant too often about F150s or Ford.
But Ford, what were you thinking? The placement of the F150's light controls, zone lighting, and bed release is hard to use without visual confirmation - compared to the Silverado which has the switches in those locations easily usable and visible. So...
As it seems our vehicles come with more driver assist features, the less I want to use them. Just curious what you all use, and what you refuse to use.
I've driven my F150 for the last two years with Lane Keep Assist alerts turned on, but recently turned it off as I missed being able to drive...
