Yeah.....my Whipple powered crew cab was pretty quick and it had 0 removed from it. 100% street truck. 502A package so all the goodies. I special ordered it. Dropped off my boys to school in it all the time.
I have assembled more short blocks than I can remember. Again, it does not take 1500 miles to seat rings. Good luck to ya babying your engine for 5000 miles. If it was built correctly, yes, that includes machining and assembly, it should be good to go in less than 100 miles.
Hope this works. It's a 2.3L, auto (98 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX). Picked it up from a buddy. Going to finish it and get it to run. The color resemblance to my Mustang is coincidental. :D
Nah. When I don't have anything that runs, I become disinterested in any local racing. I broke something in my Mustang 2-3 months ago and I have just been waiting for the heat to die down to tear into it. Then I have a DSM racing project I am getting into. It's a little different but it's my...
I was probably the first on here with the Rokblokz. They come in two styles, Regular and Oversize. My old truck had the oversize, so if you are retaining your stock wheel/tire, the regulars should work fine.
What these guys said. For example on my truck, when I switched from straight gasoline to E85, I was seeing approximately 2500-3000miles for the oil change frequency....which is what I would do anyway.
I sold my truck. Leftover parts that were in the garage. All this stuff was removed at 2900 miles so very new'ish. Name a reasonable price and it's yours. Shipping and PayPal is extra. Note, fuel pump basket is not pictured. $150
I don't believe in baby breaking in procedures. To me, that's just delaying the inevitable. If it was not built right, I want to know immediately, not in 10000 miles. Drive it like normal, that first 1,000 miles, do the oil change and drive it like normal.
Go test drive one. If they are offering great incentives and financing, go for it if you like it as long as you don't have negative equity in your truck. I liked driving it. I just didn't like the price they were selling it for. Coming from a 502A Lariat, it was a hard pass for me.
I actually test drove a Long Horn a few weeks ago after I sold my 2022 Lariat. Man, these Ford trucks spoil you is all I can say. A lot of small things like auto folding mirrors, steering wheel position auto adjustment, cooled seats (front and rear) are awesome features on the F150 Lariat that...
