I had ChatGPT 4.0 summarize the mega thread for me. Common Symptoms: Check Engine Light (CEL): Activation of the CEL, with diagnostic tools revealing code P237C. Coolant Leaks: Visible coolant pooling near the rear passenger side, often due to faulty seals or connectors in the heat...
  3. The Car Care Nut (Auto Mechanic) Reviews the F-150

I suppose it’s somewhat necessary in order to test higher options, but providing an opinion regarding fully reclining seats is less valuable than judging a nice Lariat to most of us.
  4. Powerboost CEL P237C/Exhaust Heat Exchanger Leak Megathread

I misspoke. I called James my service guy this morning. He asked if he could have it picked up tomorrow and that he will call me back with a time. Perhaps he’s checking parts availability along with the delivery service. The exchanger module is dry with the vehicle off and cool. Coolant...

  12. What do you want/expect out of the Gen 15 F-150?

In what sense? Payloads are similar. Powertrains are much stronger and more efficient. Towing numbers have increased and the body panels don’t rust away. They are certainly more luxurious and comfortable than yesteryear, but being uncomfortable isn’t a truck thing 🤷🏻‍♂️
  13. Ford F-150 Hybrid Once Again CR’s Least Reliable Vehicle

I’d sell it just to be safe. Wiper recall is especially aggrieving.
  14. What grade fuel for PowerBoost?

I’ve only run premium, but I do appreciate the flexibility in case I really need fuel and the premium pump is out or times are tight and regular unleaded will have to do.
  15. What grade fuel for PowerBoost?

Oh it’s raz worthy. @Calson never responds to me and I still took the bait!
  16. What grade fuel for PowerBoost?

Easy there Mr. Marx😉, my 401k is running close to 30% ytd. I believe the manual states 87 minimum and recommends 91 or above for towing etc.
  17. What do you want/expect out of the Gen 15 F-150?

  18. a GOOD-NEWS thread ..... share yours!

I just learned that the Ford Pass we complain about but don’t pay for is better than Jeep and Kia that require a subscription to unlock your doors or start your vehicle 😊
  19. Will the hybrid battery catch fire in the Powerboosts hybrid f150, if it gets wet?

The PowerBoost is special in that it’s unique. I think it was a niche idea that became surprisingly popular. Ford didn’t even advertise it as a hybrid until recently. I think you have a point regarding simplicity for serious off roading, but I don’t think Ford considered that. They weren’t...
