I have Bushwackers installed now and the plates are basically cosmetic only although they do add a little weight. Mine are just the plain rubber ones with no plates. The flaps are very heavy and the plates are not needed at all. They do a great job of covering a slightly oversized wheel/ tire.
Both dealer & individual shop said they'd never done before on 2021, no surprise there, but would be $5-6K. Maybe this will come down in years to come.
Took delivery of my 3.0L Powerstroke about 2 months ago and love the truck. Got exactly what I wanted. However, I did not get the 3.55 rear end as I rarely do any towing BUT, now we are looking at an Airstream with 6500 GVWR. Any experience on how it would tow through the mountains? If need...

The 3.0 has plenty of get up and go in “Normal” mode. Has great passing acceleration also. Both increase a lot in “Sport” mode. Really, Really impressed and my previous truck was a 6.7L
I’m at less than 2000 miles with level and 285/60R20 Ridge Grapplers but at 22.5 MPG not hand calculated. Roughly getting 21 city and 24-26 highway depending on speed and wind conditions. Hopefully it improves a mile or so once I get a few more miles on it. Many guys report 27-30 on stock trucks...
Nice mileage!! I’m about same with similar setup. Leveled and 34 Nitto Ridge Grapplers and total average MPG 22.5 after 1750 miles. Mine is an FX4 Platinum loaded with Leer HF 650 tonneau. No truck issues so far. Hope you get issues taken care of. Loving the truck.
