I would take the truck to a reputable Auto Parts place who offers Free Battery Tests, and get a load test done. It will probably fail right away. Document that and take it back to the dealer. I got the battery replaced in my 2022 at the dealer. They said "it barely failed at the end of the...
The ultimate in longevity/reliability? I'd pick like a 1965-67 F-150. Simple and you can't break them! All the electronics and gimmicks of today are just that!
I personally hate buying "Gasahol" as it used to be called. Our politicians have rallied to make alcohol in our gasoline an almost given thing. First it stores poorly. I keep a few cans for my generators, snowblowers and mowing my 2 acres. If stored for a period of time, the alcohol will...
You can negotiate with "Seriously-XM" I pay $6.00/ month. Just call them and tell them that you enjoy it, but aren't going to pay their asking price. Offer them $5/month.
You should contact an attorney to see what you rights are and whether Ford is still legally responsible, since you have a contract signed by both parties agreeing to the transaction. At least protect your rights. Perhaps a letter from your attorney to Ford might wake up some people and get...
I am very disappointed with Ford and their truck that has become the luxury vehicle of the decade for the manner in which they deliberately try to avoid "doing the right thing" by patching up and obfusticating the issues. They have only been building F-150's for what 60 years plus now. With...
We had a similar issue a while back. Obviously new vehicles are not selling well, and the dealers want used ones, as those are the ones they really make a killing on money wise.
I've thought about the same thing. I installed an Icom IC-706 MK II G and LDG tuner behind the rear seat. For right now, I have a Motorola commercial plastic speaker down in the cubbyhole in front of the shifter. Can you tell me what you searched or maybe the part number of the speaker assembly?
The trucks are the subject of a reall. The underlying issue is not being addressed. Ford admits it does not yet have a permanant fix for the problem. They are simply doing "Band-Aid" fixes. Do they really not have a fix, or they don't have a cheap fix since there are thousands of these...
I have sonsidered making a holster and mounting it out of sight inside the console, or maybe even covering it with a piece of carpet (a flap) so the gun would not be obvious to bystanders who might then decide to steal it.
At the rate Ford is responding to this known issue, we might eventually have to file a class-action suit against them in order to get their attention and get them to either fix the problem, replace the rear-end, or the trucks.
I am wondering when, if ever Ford will come up with a real fix for this problem and fix their defective engineering. Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of new trucks are probably being sold with the same problem. I'll just bet that the newest trucks will get the fix first and those of us with the...
I agree. Ford seems to be inundated by all the little quirks of these "massively adorned computerized thing on wheels." They really can't even keep up or devise fixes for items they were forced to issue recalls for. (e.g. broken rear axle bolts) These vehicles have become so complex that I now...
I have been watchful. Every time I park it in the garage, it is draining right behind the right front wheel where that drain comes out. There is a wet spot right behind the RF tire. If it stops, I know what to do to it. Of course winter should not be a problem.
I think I must have gotten mine soon enough that it did not have a chance to form mold as I have not smelled it since thoroughly blowing it out with compressed air and then changing the filter.
