I have one. It works great. I spliced into the reverse light wiring at the trailer connector. No negative consequences, everything works as before just more light. Works fine with zone lighting as well.
I wouldn’t let this discourage you. The IPMA update brings a lot of goodness to other features. This at the end of the day this is just a minor change in behavior and not worth avoiding the update.
I did try activating ramping in the BCM and it made no difference. HCM I have set to available as well. It still ramps for cars so I doubt cycling the HCM setting will have an effect, but stranger things have happened
Mine throws an incompatible DTC if I set ADB in the IPMA.
I will try GFHB in the SCCM just for completeness since I have messed with pretty much everything else headlight related at this point.
I‘m happy to be a test mule if anyone thinks they have identified something, but I think it’s a software change at this point and not an as-built issue. New normal
The ADB setting (4) in the SCCM was the same as the canadian vehicles that were factory activated glare free back in the day and was functional. I haven’t tried GFHB there since the update (one of the few things I haven’t played with).

What has changed is the “ramp up” when you cross that 35 mph threshold and the brights come on initially or after going out completely for street lights etc.. Previously that was a smooth ramp to ON, now it’s instant. All other functionality, ramping after a “squint” for traffic still...
I do not have any experience with the adaptor harnesses, but assuming they mimic the factory install I can try and assist.
What asbuilt changes have you already made as part of the conversion?
Since you did the most recent IPMA try this: IPMA 706-34-01 XXAA 8XXX XX--
You also need to verify all of the previous as-built changes you made to get your conversion up and running the first time.
If Jesse already helped you though, I suspect he is on to something with his recommendation
The only suggestion I have above and beyond what you listed is to verify its still activated in the IPC as well.
If you have been working with Jesse I suspect all of this has already been looked at though.
Right now that is the "new" normal, maybe the permanent new normal.
The fact they are adjusting and ramping for the adjust indicates they are "working" again. Mine were doing all kinds of weird thing initially, but mostly acting like individual auto highbeams. I have an excellent test track...
