I just had my battery replaced for the second time. The first time was right after I bought it in Feb of 21. Now again. Both times, two different dealers say the battery had a bad cell and there was no draw that they detected while the truck sat. Now I carry a NOCO all the time
Hello,
I just had my second issue with a dead battery on my 2021 after sitting over a long weekend. The battery has already been replaced once after being towed to a dealer. Is there anyone who can have a look at min VIN and tell me what’s going on? 1FTFW1E80MFA32849
Thanks
The battery went dead but there was a software recall that had to be done. Somehow, there was something always running in the background that drained the battery. No issues since. One thing to mention, the electrical systems go real goofy when a battery drains down. Different systems will stop...
I didn’t like the Dynamat idea after looking at it so I tried wrapping that cloth tape length ways along the full length of the power cable and used 3-4 layers. That seemed to kill it as another solution.
I’ve thought about that as well. I’m going to try and take a look at that this weekend and see. I have some Dynamat laying around. It’s annoying and I like my music!
No issues before. My Ford app was showing the recall. Ironically, a month later after the repair and they still haven’t cleared it off my app. I keep asking and they keep saying it will drop off. The last recall was off in 24 hrs so I’m a little skeptical with anything this dealer tells me.
I just had the windshield recall done on mine. So far no issues, but I wouldn’t recommend the dealer who did it. Their customer service and lack of follow up on anything was terrible.
Thanks. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully they made it right. Mine goes in today for a few things as well. I’ve had it since January and have been waiting for any recalls to come out before taking it in.
hopefully , this visit addresses most of my issues
Bingo, exactly my experience. It actually hit Park one time last week when I least expected it and I probably would have started toward the windshield had I not had my seatbelt on.
I don’t have the Powerboost but the 3.5 Eco and I just noticed in the last couple of days that when shifting from drive to reverse, it’s almost like the sensors aren’t picking up where the shift lever is in the console. I will shift it from drive to the reverse position on the console, but the...
Thanks for the comments. The truck will take on some gray tones in shadowed lighting but in the sun, it’s definitely more beige. Cool color in my opinion. Good luck on your build.
If I recall, it’s 20% and the rear were tinted darker to match the front. They are pretty dark at night from inside the truck but help in the Texas heat
