  1. 21-23 digital dash swap now easier I think w/ 2024 parts.

One for the old XL/XLT setup and one for the new Super Duty style setup on the Lariat and up hopefully. This is exciting!
  2. 21-23 digital dash swap now easier I think w/ 2024 parts.

So I found a number online: RL3Z-15044D70-AC The first 4 correspond to a 2024. Not sure on trim level but it's a start.
  3. 21-23 digital dash swap now easier I think w/ 2024 parts.

If this works out it solves my last remaining dislike for my truck. That 8 inch IPC is horribly designed.
  4. We all drive race trucks! 0-60 Battle: 2024 3.5 EcoBoost vs. 5.0 F-150

    So, to throw fuel on the fire... Motortrend tested three 14th generation F150s back in 2020-2021 (2.7, 3.5 PB, 5.0 Coyote) and got the following results. Engine 0-60 Quarter-Mile 2.7 Ecoboost 6.1 seconds 14.7 sec @ 94.7 mph 3.5 Ecoboost N/A N/A 3.5 Powerboost 5.3 seconds 13.8 seconds @...
  5. Tracking?

Nope. Haven't had any issues apart from rushing and forgetting to enter the key code before I throw the truck into gear... truck shuts down and I have to restart it. Remote start still works and I can throw it into service mode for when it goes to the shop or dealer for work.
  6. Tracking?

I use an IGLA immobilizer. Requires a passcode entered via existing buttons in the car, a passive bypass fob, or an app. In a world where an F150 or a Ram can be taken in 4 minutes, I've never seen one fail. If you were in Canada I'd recommend Tag Tracking. 5 to 7 trackers installed with...
  7. Why is the RCSB the 'Redheaded Step Child' ??

A short-bed gives you interior space at the expense of load capacity. A long-bed gives you load capacity at the expense of interior space. A RCSB gives you the worst of both worlds. I think RCSBs are mighty fun. But Ford's gotta streamline somewhere and the RCSB is an easy place to start cutting.
  8. Are you trading your 21-23 for. 24+?

The way the economy is going I won't be in the market until the early 2030s - this truck is going to get some miles put on it. Gotta pick up a gas truck before ICE vehicles get banned in 2035.
  9. Are you trading your 21-23 for. 24+?

I like the look of the XLT black package and the digital cluster. I absolutely do not like the increased MSRPs and the idea that I'm going have to spend a year getting all the kinks worked out again. Ford's working towards increased quality but in the era of post-COVID manufacturing nobody's...
  10. 2024 - Has the 10 speed been remedied?

I imagine that date was chosen for when the revised transmission started rolling out in F150s. No sense setting that parameter if you're going to let faulty units keep going out in trucks. I have a 10R80 in a truck built November 28, 2022. Runs smooth like butter.
  11. Vehicles thefts Key vs PTS

They already have something better - a motion sensing key that turns off when it's not moved. I'm not sure if it'll be on the 2024 F150, but it's certainly not on the 2023 and prior F150s despite being on other less popular models. Ford is selling this...
  12. Vehicles thefts Key vs PTS

What you're describing (sans the horn) is an IGLA device. Without the correct PIN entered, the vehicle doesn't start, or in case of the setup on my XLT, it automatically shuts off and won't restart when shifted out of park. Some installers in the States pair it with a Compustar system so that...
  13. Vehicles thefts Key vs PTS

Faraday attacks are out of vogue now where I'm at. Too many faraday boxes. Ford's key programming software has been cracked for the Gen 14 trucks. Gone in 60 (times 4) seconds. A faraday bag will slow them down. But it won't stop them from getting into the truck. An OBD port lock will stop most...
  14. New 2024 F150. What accessories to get

To expand on this: The backseat on the F150 is split 60/40 with the single seat on the right. From the factory, you can fold down the single seat to access the jack and fuel funnel. I put booster cables and my recovery kit in behind there. But, the centre/left seats don't fold down. There's a...
  15. Broke Folding Storage Latch

Update: The entire folding storage unit has to be replaced as Ford doesn't make this latch as a discrete part. Dealership is putting it through under warranty to the tune of $1100. Considering how cheap, exposed and delicate the latches are, that's a tad ridiculous. No wonder they're burning...
  16. Anyone See Market Adjustment/ Bump Sticker on 2024's?

Canada here. There's discounts all over the place on 2024 F150s. Just saw an ad for 15K+ off an XLT. But, our cost of living is out of control and gas just went up 14 cents a litre overnight, so I imagine a 80K pickup is a bit of a hard sell right now.
  17. New 2024 F150. What accessories to get

Dashcam and the Builtright Seat Latch.
  18. Broke Folding Storage Latch

So this is a bit of an unexpected problem. Went to fold my folding storage and one of the latches broke. Just wondering if anyone has had this happen to them before. I'll be going to the dealership tomorrow to see if it's warranty covered and if I can get an extra latch. It seems like it's all...
  19. Accessories - How to order online from Ford.ca

I'm not sure if it's changed, but I had to order through my dealership. The bonus was they were willing to price match and shipping was free. I think the Truck Lot in Manitoba does Fordpass points online.
  20. Ford Pass v5 - now available

Just got it today. So far it seems snappier than v4. I like it.
