  1. Where to get a front Torsen Differential installed in a F150 non Tremor/Raptor?

I have never tried to sneak the front differential cover, but I would imagine that a combination of removing the two steering rack mounting bolts and possibly loosening/removing the differential mount bolts would give you enough room to work even with a thicker aluminum cover. Should that fail...
  2. Where to get a front Torsen Differential installed in a F150 non Tremor/Raptor?

I filled my front diff with Motorcraft Synthetic 75W85 and 4oz of XL-3 friction modifier. Even with all the extra slipperiness that reduces the effectiveness of the Torsen, I'm very aware of the Torsen while driving aggressively, but it's not noticeable when driving calmly.
  3. Where to get a front Torsen Differential installed in a F150 non Tremor/Raptor?

Getting the front differential back into place with the Raptor R cover was no issue at all. I didn't have to loosen or remove any extra parts to get it into place.
  4. Front Differential Bearing Failure at 18,000 miles

I have the differential reassembled and in total, the factory carrier bearing shims had an extra 0.017" above and beyond what Ford calls for so that might explain the carrier bearing failure. My bashlash was also too tight from the factory at 0.0075", the spec is 0.008"-0.012". The factory gear...
  5. 2022 Transmission Oil Leak

I removed my transfer case earlier today and my leak was 100% from the transfer case input seal.
  6. OTA update wiped tune

My truck is tuned with HP Tuners and a recent OTA update returned certain aspects of my tune to the stock settings
  7. Front Differential Bearing Failure at 18,000 miles

The extra bearings I need are only $50 and I already had everything torn down for the Torsen install. At this point the cheapest and easiest option is to just rebuild it myself. My truck is also modified to the point where you could reasonably void the entire powertrain warranty.
  8. Dealer Butchered BedRug on Install...Advice?

Looking at the Ford accessories website, it looks like they only charge $60 for the install which gives the mechanic about 20-25 minutes to get everything completed. The result you got is terrible and unacceptable, but I think that a large portion of the blame lies with Ford setting unrealistic...
  9. Front Differential Bearing Failure at 18,000 miles

Earlier today I removed my front differential to install a Torsen carrier. Before pulling the differential out I knew that my pinion seal was leaking and my axle seals were weeping, but I had absolutely no noise and no reason to suspect a bearing failure. After pulling the seals out of the...
  10. Where to get a front Torsen Differential installed in a F150 non Tremor/Raptor?

I'm about 2 hours into the job and the front differential is out. I did not have to remove the steering rack or the steering shaft, and I didn't have to loosen any of the bolts for them. Just slide the differential to the passenger side and with a little careful positioning it will slide right...
  11. Where to get a front Torsen Differential installed in a F150 non Tremor/Raptor?

It looks like everything I ordered arrived in time for me to install my Torsen over memorial day weekend. If anyone has specific questions about the install process for the Torsen carrier, Tremor CV axles, or Raptor R front diff cover, just let me know and I'll try to get some detailed pictures...
  12. Where to get a front Torsen Differential installed in a F150 non Tremor/Raptor?

I just hope the EcoGaurd coating holds up better than Ford's black coating. I'm not sure if it's black oxide, black phosphate, or black nitride as I've never put much thought into it, but the black bolts they use always seem to be the first to rust. For anyone who's curious the stuff I ordered...
  13. Where to get a front Torsen Differential installed in a F150 non Tremor/Raptor?

I'm hoping for corrosion protection that closely matches what I'm used to seeing on European vehicles in the northeast. Fastenal says that EcoGaurd is their best coating, but we'll see. The gold colored bolts pictured below came out of a 37 year old Mercedes, the rest came from various 10-20...

If you want real world stock dyno numbers with 87oct:
  16. We all drive race trucks! 0-60 Battle: 2024 3.5 EcoBoost vs. 5.0 F-150

Correct, these are the stock limits, not necessarily what the engines will actually produce in real world conditions. That being said, my 3.5EB closely follows the limit after 2000RPM, but I only run 93oct fuel.
  17. We all drive race trucks! 0-60 Battle: 2024 3.5 EcoBoost vs. 5.0 F-150

Traction is a big issue, I'm having a hard time getting lower than a 1.88 60ft and a 4.44 0-60MPH with my 3.5EB, but I'm also on 275/60R20 A/T tires and I don't have traction bars. I've been thinking of getting a 3rd set of wheels for some 295/45ZR18 summer tires but I really don't feel like...
  18. We all drive race trucks! 0-60 Battle: 2024 3.5 EcoBoost vs. 5.0 F-150

You're looking at HP not torque, the graph shows both engines making over 400 lb-ft of torque at 2000RPM.
  19. We all drive race trucks! 0-60 Battle: 2024 3.5 EcoBoost vs. 5.0 F-150

The graph below compares the torque limits set in the PCM for the 2021 3.5EB and 2021 5.0. I can't speak to how the 2021 5.0 follows these limits, but based on my past experience with my 2014 5.0, I suspect that it would need at least E30 to get close to the torque limit. With 93oct fuel, a...
  20. Where to get a front Torsen Differential installed in a F150 non Tremor/Raptor?

I'm going to have the whole front differential assembly out of the truck when I install the Torsen front diff, Tremor CV axles, and new differential cover. Reading through the WSM, it looks like I should be able to drop the whole assembly out without removing the steering rack. I was able to...
