  1. Ford Protect Warranty--What Package

Yes, if it is covered under warranty. Most things are, but wear items like brake pads, rubber hoses, etc are not. There is a big long list when you look at the PremiumCare warranty info of what is covered. Shop online Ziegler Granger etc to save money.
  2. Need some help in NJ

@Granger Ford has a whole thread running on here with details and are very helpful. They sell hundreds (thousands?) of vehicles to people out of state.
  3. Need some help in NJ

There are other dealers on east coast that sell under invoice. At least they used to do so. It was covered in a thread over on f150forum. Get a quote from Granger then use that to shop local if you want. I have multiple dealers in my state that will sell at invoice on orders but I don't know...
  4. Newly Designed FordPass 5.0 App®: What to Know

Most people would never think to go change their review score even if they are upset with it. So I don't expect it to change much on either platform. Most of the new reviews on Google Play are 1 star. Likely people using it for years that never bothered to post a review score. Maybe they were...
  5. 2.7 SSM 52447 Ticking/Tapping Or Rattle Type Noise From The Top Front Cover Area Of The Engine After Cold Soak

I don't think it harms anything either. If I read otherwise in future that is what I have an extended warranty to cover. I just ran across it when I was looking for missing functionality on Ford website not in app anymore. It does help explain the sound I hear sometimes. Not nearly as annoying...
  6. Forscan model years?

https://forscan.org/home.html Website says 96-23. I wouldn't expect it to do much of anything prior to 2009 but you might have luck with it.
  7. Newly Designed FordPass 5.0 App®: What to Know

Location button only works 1/4 of the times I tap on it. The map just doesn't load at all most the time. I understand how they think a map is an upgrade over just an address, but it would be nice for it to work.
  8. 2.7 SSM 52447 Ticking/Tapping Or Rattle Type Noise From The Top Front Cover Area Of The Engine After Cold Soak

I get a quiet rattle sound for about one second. I thought it was a heat shield or something it isn't very loud. Reminds me of my old 3.5 with the multiple timing chain replacements, but I could hear that from inside my house.
  9. Did you know the F-150 has two, sometimes 3 batteries?

Several posts on here about the 2kw inverter being disappointing in what it can actually run far under the rating. Aftermarket inverters perform better and I agree a small generator is more economical than running a truck engine. I have the 400w which is fine for running a laptop or charging...
  10. RCSB Experience

There are some east coast dealers that do discounts. Shop around and you should at least find one that will sell at invoice. Getting below invoice is a nice bonus.
  11. 2.7 SSM 52447 Ticking/Tapping Or Rattle Type Noise From The Top Front Cover Area Of The Engine After Cold Soak

Saw this on Ford website... SSM 52447 2020-2024 F-150, 2021-2024 Bronco - 2.7L/3.0L EcoBoost - Ticking/Tapping Or Rattle Type Noise From The Top Front Cover Area Of The Engine After Cold Soak Some 2020-2024 F-150 and 2021-2024 Bronco vehicles equipped with a 2.7L or 3.0L EcoBoost...
  12. Newly Designed FordPass 5.0 App®: What to Know

Another thing I have noticed under service records. It no longer has notations for warranty work. It now says "scheduled maintenance" on Ford website and the app. Didn't know they had an official SSM for features removed in the past. If they do the same for the recent removals then they are...
  13. ‘The MSRP isn’t the MSRP in our region.’

April 2023 I was truck shopping. One of several local dealers with the largest selection was still adding premium "market adjustment" on top of all F-150 2022 and 2023 models. Plus bunch of add-on stuff from Ziebart for $2k on every vehicle. Other dealers listed the discounts on window sticker...
  14. Newly Designed FordPass 5.0 App®: What to Know

I agree with that too. They will keep working on it as they kept working on the old app. That doesn't mean old features will return necessarily but Ford isn't done refining it. Highlighted the second to last bullet point in the version notes.
  15. Did you know the F-150 has two, sometimes 3 batteries?

You are new here but most of us have determined Motorcraft batteries under hood to be problematic across the whole engine lineup. Haven't seen as many complaints on the auxiliary battery, but I don't have a PB to worry about that.
  16. Dealer Butchered BedRug on Install...Advice?

I agree with above get dealer to buy the side panels and DIY it or go somewhere else. I've never installed a bed rug in my life and I could do better than that mess.
  17. Newly Designed FordPass 5.0 App®: What to Know

I agree and said same earlier in this thread. I'm sure they have the data on what features are used most. Given how Ford has demonstrated handling of data I doubt they bothered trying to look at it though. Some meeting in some office decided what is most important with a clear focus on EV...
