  3. CEL - Inlet Pipe w/ Heat Exchanger

There is a new SSM out that instructs techs to check the sensor connectors for corrosion or damage before replacing the inlet pipe/heat exchanger. It might apply to your situation and will probably save you some cash If this is the problem. SSM 52543 2021-2024 F-150 3.5L Full Hybrid...
  4. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

If you registered for the free NASTF membership, I wouldn’t expect it to work. According to the pop-up you received, you have to be registered as a Vehicle Security Professional (VSP). VSP registration is not free and it is open only to professionals, like locksmiths, who pay a fee and go...
  5. 2021+ F-150 FORScan List / Database / Spreadsheet ?

I think @C. Mays was suggesting that the fourth bit of 726-58-02 should be changed and not the second bit.
  6. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

I had no problems logging in with 40.4.5, but I’m running Windows 10 Pro. Might be another Windows 11 problem.
  7. OTA update wiped tune

The vast majority of the OTA updates have come over the cellular connection, not wi-fi. @Snakebitten has the only bulletproof method I’ve heard of—unplug the TCU. That stops all communication with the outside world. No FordPass, no nothing.
  8. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

I wasn’t suggesting that you read 835 pages. I was suggesting that the thread is old and there don’t tend to be a lot of new ideas that someone else hasn’t already thought of. You’re welcome.
  9. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Yes. You’d have to be physically connected to his truck for the manifest to reflect his VIN. This is a long thread and many people have asked the same question. Answer is always the same. Caveat: This is true of Sync 4 systems. Sync 3 might be different. I just saw you’re talking about a 2016.
  10. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Nope. The update will be keyed to your VIN and it won’t install on your friend’s truck.
  11. Believed to be bad sw update for gateway module

Spend some time on the thread I provided a link to above—read some posts, ask some questions. A lot of really knowledgeable people there and I think you will learn quickly that this might be something you can fix yourself. Not free—a programmer and a a 2-day FDRS license can set you back $600...
  12. Believed to be bad sw update for gateway module

Sure. Even consumers now have access to the software and requisite equipment to perform module programming and testing. The largest and most active thread on this site is devoted to it. https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/ecu-module-programming-guide-using-fdrs.8249/
  13. 2023 F150 Limited 3.5L Power Boost air conditioner freezes up TSB release date

I do not. I got it off Ford.com, which doesn’t seem to post the pdf. https://www.ford.com/support/service-information/ I usually can’t get the pdf until Ford reposts it on NHTSA’s website, which can take several weeks. @rugedraw has access to PTS. He might be able to get the pdf for you there.
  14. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

It will clear on its own eventually. If you want to verify that it actually updated to give you peace of mind, use FORScan to read the software version directly from the module. Then compare it to what FDRS or the as-built on Motorcraft reports. If FORScan shows a different/higher version...
  15. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Agree completely. I own and have used both the Noco Genius 10 amp and the ProLogix 20 amp and found the Noco woefully inadequate. I won’t use it. Even the ProLogix at double the amps is pushed to its limit. It’s designed to maintain 14.1 v in power supply mode but, like you also observed...
  16. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Always a risk with an undersized power supply. But using an undersized charger in charger mode won’t make a bad situation any better.
  17. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Power supply mode is the correct mode to use for programming. During programming, maintaining a stable voltage is critical. In charge mode, the charger tries to maintain constants amps while allowing voltage to float—exactly the opposite of what you want to do. In power supply mode, the...
  18. ECU module programming guide using FDRS

I’m not sure I completely understand your question, but PMI’s are not configurable—they are automated. By default, they automatically grab and load the latest software available for a module along with the as-built configuration data previously saved to the cloud. You can’t direct the PMI...
