  1. Upgraded steering wheel for 24 XL

In case you don't want to spend money or deal with removing and replacing a steering wheel, I put this cheap leather wrap on my 2023 XL. Took like 1-1.5 hours to stitch on by hand. Obviously not perfect, but its damn good for a $60 upgrade and feels much nicer than the Urethane wheel that comes...
  2. 2023 Tuning question

2nd above. Contact Livernois and ask. I was considering tuning my '23 2.7L, but they wanted $1,100 for a new ECU and $800 for a tune. let me know what you find!
  3. 2024 - Has the 10 speed been remedied?

2023 2.7L built 02/23. Just hit 32K miles in a year. I live in the mountains and only complaint I have with the transmission is sitting in 6th gear when I'm going downhill at 70mph. Not sure why it shifts down and holds that gear when coasting.
  4. 2025 4Runner Specs & Photos Revealed

I prefer any vehicle I own to be turbocharged. They've become much more reliable than what they were 20 years ago....however, I'm biased living at 8,600' above sea level. Turbo's have much less power loss than NA.
  5. 2024 F-150 STX Real-Life Photos from Dealership Lots

Still annoying how even in 2024, a $50K+ truck doesn't include push-to-start. Pretty sure those are standard on the cheapest sedan you can find today. My 2023 STX doesn't have it either. First world problems!
  6. Anyone come up with tunes for newer 2023/2024 3.5 ECO??

Yeah I saw a similar deal of someone replacing the ECM on their own too. I wouldn't trust myself to do so. I went ahead and got the JB4 and it works decent, but I know an actual tune is much better since it really helps the transmission behave better. Hopefully someone cracks the 2023+ ECMs...
  7. Anyone come up with tunes for newer 2023/2024 3.5 ECO??

Yeah, you have to purchase a '21 or '22 ECM and have them replace your '23....so you end up having to drive all the way to Detroit and pay almost $2,000 to tune. Really annoying how Ford decided to change the ECM for 2023, I was really looking forward to tuning my 2.7L...
  8. Opinions Wanted

I know it's not offered with the Platinum trim, but I'm averaging 22-24 mpg with my SCREW STX 2.7L 4x4 with 3.55 ratio. That's including newer falken A/T tires as well which dropped mpg by about 1. The 2.7L is the way to go if mpg and longevity is what you're after. Obviously the 7,700 towing...
  9. Turbos shutdown on Highway

Make sure the sensor on the air intake is plugged in and sealed. I replaced my air intake and didn't properly seal the sensor and my 2.7L did the same thing you're describing. Lost all boost and it drove like a NA 2.7L. Plugged it in properly and my problem was fixed.
  10. Do you like your 2,7 ecoboost or wish you bought 5.0?

Same boat. I got a 2023 with the 2.7 and sometimes wish I'd gotten the 5.0 since there are actually available tunes for it. I know tuning a NA engine won't result in much power compared to tuning the ecoboosts, but at least there's an option. I've been told by every tuning company they won't be...
  11. Do you like your 2,7 ecoboost or wish you bought 5.0?

  12. Goodbye Hankook - hello Continential TerrainContact™ A/T Tires

Might be a bit aggressive on my statement above, but I wouldn't get the Continentals again after a winter out here. They aren't the worst, but my #1 concern is snow traction living at almost 9,000' elevation. The current Falken A/Ts are much better performing in snow. If I lived in Texas...
  13. Goodbye Hankook - hello Continential TerrainContact™ A/T Tires

The Continental TerrainContact A/Ts are awful in the snow compared to the Falken, Goodyear, or Vredesteins....if you care about that. My company requires me to get Continentals on our vehicles. Living in Colorado, I was finally able to get some other brands approved.
  14. 3 Peaks Tires in SL or Xl?

Maybe you can grab some for cheaper then, ha. Also mine are just SL, not XL.
  15. 3 Peaks Tires in SL or Xl?

I live in the mountains of Colorado and just got new Falken AT3Ws. Would definitely recommend them. Had them on a previous work truck as well. They're the highest winter-rated A/T on TireRack.
  16. Off Topic (but am very interested in what y’all have to say)

Gig Em'!! Class of '17 here. Got a BS in Industrial Distribution. Went into a sales role for a company that manufactures all types of bearings. I'm still selling bearings with a different company today. I got my most recent role because our rep in Texas was and Aggie too and got a recommendation...
  17. 275/60R20 Falken A/T3W Fuel Economy

I swapped from whatever factory tires were to the Falken A/T3Ws on a RAM1500 and there was no difference in mpg. Waiting till the current tires on my F150 wear down to swap to Falkens again. I'm averaging 24.5mpg with the 2.7L currently.
  18. Chrome delete on my 2021 Lariat - before & after pics

looks good! never understood why so many trucks come with the chrome package, I think the body colored bumpers look much better
  19. '21-'23 Column to Console Shift Conversion Items

Is the column shifter really that bad? I have on my new STX and I have no issues coming from a RAM 1500 with the easy dial shifter. I don't understand why that would be worth the time, and especially the money it would cost just to swap....but again to each their own! Kinda neat that you can...
  20. JB4 on 2023 2.7 EB

Honestly I'd go with an actual tune if I were you, but the JB4 is still great don't underestimate it! I contacted Livernois & 5Star and they both told me that any F-150 produced after 12/2022 is not tunable and likely will not be for quite some time. Ford changed something with the ECU and you'd...
