  1. Chapman and Granger Lightning allocation?

In that case I better prepare myself for the Silverado pre orders.
  2. Chapman and Granger Lightning allocation?

And if that happens I will just hold off on buying until either more incentives pass or I can pick one up years down the road. I went into this whole ordeal cautiously optimistic about the cheapness of the pro price and said to myself if there was any sign of dealer shenanigans or I somehow did...
  3. Chapman and Granger Lightning allocation?

So the situation is if you want your Truck at MSRP or below you may have to wait a little while. For those who are impatient and want to overpay they will be in a lightning much sooner. As someone who recently switched dealers for a better discount I can live with waiting a little while longer...
  4. Do I need to worry about dealer pushing price over MSRP?

I am referring to my number based on the original number chart in these forums with like 10803XXX being the first assumed. I am at 10821XXX but this is still speculatory. These were day one reservations I don't know when Ford jumped the number higher or if their other vehicles add to the same...
  5. Do I need to worry about dealer pushing price over MSRP?

My reservation number did not change still within the first 20k. But I am worried about this dealer allocation thing that's happening over in the Bronco forums.
  6. Do I need to worry about dealer pushing price over MSRP?

I want to share my experience when changing dealers through the Ford line. The first call had unintelligible dropouts in signal clarity and the person on the receiving end had no idea what they were talking about. When the line finally became impossible to understand I hung up and recalled the...
  7. Is Ford Underestimating the Demand for the Pro Trim?

I know a hitch is standard but can't comment on plug, wouldn't be hard to add if it didn't.
  8. Is Ford Underestimating the Demand for the Pro Trim?

This is exactly what I was alluding to. For my own personal sake I don't really need a truck beyond the occasional need to move my project cars/parts cars around, but I still needed at least 7,500 lbs of towing capacity to do this. I also knew the next car I wanted to buy was electric, and the...
  9. Is Ford Underestimating the Demand for the Pro Trim?

I have always felt that if you really need the options in the higher trim levels that you would be more inclined to go with a competitor because to me they offer better alternatives. Imo GM's Super Cruise has a good proven track record compared to Blue Cruise.
  10. Dallas F-150 Lightning Tour Registration Open

For a point of reference at the D.C. event it was fairly empty and they really didn't care what time you were there. Honestly I bet if you didn't even get a slot you could walk up there. They didn't ask for my reservation number or anything just sign a waiver.
  11. Is Ford Underestimating the Demand for the Pro Trim?

I have been picking up this general belief that no one want the "work truck version" from various car sites and forums. I know Ford sent out a poll early on asking about trim preference and options to a select few, (we don't know how they selected who were polled), and garnered a belief that the...
  12. What Questions Do You Have? (I'm attending the Event tomorrow.)

That's interesting I thought before it was confirmed the Pro did not have the work surface? Its not that the fold down shifter wasn't there but they were pretty adamant it wouldn't have it.
  13. Dealers not charging deposits

I also have a reservation with Bob Davidson and have never dealt with them before so I can only take what is publicly available. Their google reviews page is mixed for BEV sales (one glowing one bad) on the Mach-E which makes me cautious either way but it seems like its more for on the lot sales...
  14. Ford Will Build 15K Lightning in 2022, 80K+/yr by 2024

As someone who is looking into EV conversions of classic cars as well I figure a battery swap of the first gen seems fairly simple since it is less an integral structural component than say like in a Tesla Model 3. The battery sits within the frame rails and someone with a lift could easily...
  15. Ford Will Build 15K Lightning in 2022, 80K+/yr by 2024

Even if it is frankensteined with ICE parts that should mean the first generation will have good parts support for long-life use for anything not related to the EV drivetrain. If the new revision is created from the ground up as an EV it may not be as easy to source parts in the long term. This...
